At least for another binge/purge session....a lot of stuff going on right now, but thankfully someone said hello and I simply couldn't resist
Welcome back, long time no see!
I used to throw my Sega Genesis controllers around back in the day. Since then, I've either gotten better at managing my video game anger, realized of how little importance the games are, or just don't want to destroy controllers because they cost so much now.
Same here. Can't tell you how many times I've come close to snapping the neck off of the Guitar Hero controller.
I have gotten much better at controlling my urges to break stuff, but looking back on it:
I throw my phone on a regular basis. It just won't break.
I throw tools a lot when I'm working on my cars. I get that from my dad. He built a cement-wall garage and I suspect it's so that he can throw whatever he wants without putting holes in the walls.
I used to light things on fire a lot, but I've stopped doing that for obvious reasons.
Back when I owned a PC, there isn't anything I wouldn't do to damage it. I actually had three PC's, one was very very old. One day I picked it up over my head and let it freefall to the floor. So satisfying.
I hit copiers and fax machines a lot, because they basically suck and never seem to work right (hitting them doesn't help, but it makes me feel better).
I used to find it relaxing to take glasses and ceramic mugs and glasses and hit them with my baseball bat. My ex used to pitch them to me from the side and I'd swing as hard as I could. I've probably destroyed over 50 perfectly good cups in my day.
Today, I still have a pretty nasty temper, but I can control it to the point where I rarely break anything, and if I do, it's something that isn't too valuable and is my own.
