There have been a lot of people stating different screens in their new 13" MBP's. I am curious to know what the most popular model LCD is.

I have 9C9F myself...I think it looks great but I have a little bit of backlight bleed along the bottom. Not enough to bother me or warrant shipping it back to apple and possibly playing the lottery again with a worse screen.

9C9E

After using someones calibration profile it looks pretty good.

I haven't compared it to anyone elses yet.

I had the 9C9E, worst display I've ever seen on a mac laptop. Calibration did absolutely nothing but try and cover the fact that the screen was terrible.

13" MacBook Pro is now shipping to Taiwan just these few days. It seems everybody is getting the 9CBD.

9cc2

9cc2 here. but it's not on the poll.
@cababah, can you please add it?

Which screen do I want?

It appears that there is a lot of subjectivity to just what screen is best (I've read a LOT of posts on this) so I'd like to throw a couple of questions to you all if I may.

This will be my first MAC. I'm looking at the MBP 13".
It's mostly to write code so a big screen and best color, etc. isn't the most important thing, portability is a good thing. I've coded for PC's since they have been out and it's time to expand.

I will also be doing some graphic design but just for my own use (My hobbys-no$$) so I'm also interested in the "better screens". Of all these listed in this poll, are there some distinctly known as better and I should look for?
Also, if I'm in an Apple store, will they pull one out of the box that I might be taking home so I can see what screen I'm getting and if it's not a "good one", ask them to pull another box? Are they all mixed in stock?

Thanks to all you MAC people and MacRumors for all these great threads....I would hate to have to buy one with just Apple's site info.

9CBD here coming off a 9C9F exchange.

Whilst the image quality on both screens was pretty much the same, I have noticed that the 9CBD screen seems to be much brighter.

why did you exchange your 9C9F?

Oh yeah, 6 people more than the next highest is definitely "everybody".

Hi, I only mentioned the situation in Taiwan.
There is only the first shipment in these two days. (very limited units were shipped here)
I'm not talking about the poll result.

I have the 9CAO

Quite happy with it, though brightness adjustment for attaining full brightness only kicks in on last two clicks to maximum. Great display so far.

Weird about your lid. I have a 9C9F and it is very very slightly warped on the left hand side. I am really picky so I notice those kinds of things a lot, but I don't think it is a problem enough for them to exchange it for me.

My lid was about 3mm higher at the back compared to the front. The genius I spoke to said he had seen quite a few examples of this problem and went on to explain to me how it was something to do with how they overtighten the screws when assembing them at the factory.

The replacement I now have is also slightly warped (again on the left hand side) but no where near as bad as the first so I'm keeping this one.
