If this is the case should I cancel my Apple Online Store order which isn't slated to ship for THREE weeks and order off of the ATT.com online store?
I ordered a 32gb yesterday morning(7:00). It said it would be shipped in 7 to 10 days. I checked my order status and it's been shipped. I will have it tomorrow by 3. I can't wait.
For a lot of people it did come through quickly. I was on backorder for like a week and in about two days total form the 21st to the 23rd they processed, shipped and delivered early Wednesday morning.
Let us know if you have success with this if you try it. I'm thinking about doing the same.
If I cancel is the money hold immediately released or will I be out $300 until the money is released? How exactly does that work?
OK. I just ordered my black 32 gb off of apple.com. Anyone care for updates or should I just keep it to myself?
They don't charge your card until it ships, so you should be ok. I just realized that it will be at least 2 more weeks until I get a decent case or screen protector delivered, so I might as well wait. Too many stories of scratches and shattered glass

It's not really too huge a deal to me, I'm on the waiting list at a local Radio Shack so if they get a shipment in before Apple does, I'll just cancel and pick it up there. Sort of a win-win I guess.
I just got my shipping conformation email with my new AT&T phone number in it! I think it might actually be here tomorrow like the FedEx tracking page says! However, it is still not "in transit."

I ordered a 32GB through Premier @ 5:30am Central on 6/29. Still "Processing" and/or "back-order". It seems that there is no rhyme or reason as to when it will be shipped. I've been scouring the Att.com and mac forums for 2 days now (like the truest of geeks), and there are folks who pre-ordered through ATT on 6/15 that are still on back order. Yet I'm seeing a healthy amount of people who ordered yesterday with iPhones being shipped today. I really don't think ATT is fulfilling requests in the order that they were received. Sounds like they are just shotgunning them out as soon as they hit the warehouse in Texas.
My fiance finally ordered hers instore yesterday. Shows backordered on the site this morning. Hopefully it will move as fast as online orders.
honestly that's probably why he delayed the white ip4 release too. When the hype about iPhones die down, there comes the white pretty looking iPhones!
