What SMS tone do you use most?

I use bell. The tri-tone isn't loud enough, chime is just obnoxious, glass is annoying, horn is beyond dumb, electronic is terrifying.
Honestly, the SMS sounds just suck. All of them. Apple needs to allow custom SMS sounds.

During the day I use tri-tone, when I go to bed I switch to electronic cause it's the most jarring and sometimes this girl I know will text me at any hour of the night and I don't want to miss it. 
Seems Tri-Tone is the popular one.
Doesn't really come as a surprise. Three of my four roomates have iPhones and every one of us is reaching for it when a text comes in. Even when I was jailbroken I'd stick with the original.

Tri-Tone for me too. The others just sound awful to me. Wish it was a bit louder though. It's weird, sometimes I hear a text come in but don't look at it straight away then a bit later I hear another one. Then when I look there's only one message. I'm the only one with an iPhone.

Every five minutes or so the iPhone will remind you that you have an un-viewed message by playing the message tone again. This happens twice for me.

Tri-Tone, the rest are bloody awful. It always annoyed me that they completely overlooked this section. I know they missed out alot of basic stuff, but always like having my own sms alerts.
I dont know why they cant let you create your own or add wav files of something. At the very least, create a load of new apple sounds, that are a bit more decent.

I personally can't stand custom text alerts. You need something short and simple that lasts about 1-2 seconds. Some of my friends have text tones that last about 20 seconds, it drives me insane, especially people who get messages through about once a minute. Either keep your tones short and appropriate or put your phones on silent. My phone is on silent most of the time and hardly ever miss a message, I can feel it vibrate in my pocket, if I miss it then it vibrates about 10 minutes later to remind me. Thank you, I have let off some steam now.
