What the hell my 09/19 AT&T order got moved to 10/13 - 10/31??

That explains your delivery date. Looks like everyone who preordered a 6+ is delayed
Yes, but, even for 6+, people who ordered earlier have ship date later than people who ordered after them. That's why, I think the ship dates will be adjusted to better dates next week.
It's because AT&T is stupid and doesn't "reserve a phone" so to speak until EVERYTHING--contract renewal, eligibility check, payment etc, whatever else that means) goes through. So your actual order time / number doesn't matter like it does with Apple's system.
Case in Point I ordered around 12:12 with AT&T and got a dreaded mid November shipment date because my CC flagged the payment.

OP I agree with the folks who believe your ship date will move around. I've frequently ordered from AT&T and had the dates shift but I've always received the phones when I expected them, regardless of any alarming e-mails. 
Same exact thing. Due to experience, I didn't trust AT&T to powered through on Apple's app. Didn't get launch day but Oct 1-6 which is much better than I probably would have got via AT&T.
I ordered a Space Gray 128 GB iPhone 6 Plus about 1:40 AM Central on AT&T's sight through the Premier Plan and my ship date shows between 10/13 and 10/22. It went smoothly and keeping my unlimited data plan while swapping to the 12 month Next plan was simple. I was hesitant to go directly through Apple and chance screwing up my unlimited data plan. And then I checked and AT&T's site and it was accepting orders before the specified time while Apple's site was still down. It may take longer to get mine but my i5 works great and I'm fine with this.
So the second phone I ordered through AT&T, which also said 09/19 prior to ordering and the initial order confirmation email says it will arrive on 09/19 has updated now in Order Status and shows a Shipping Date of 09/23/14 - 10/02/14. I guess that one isn't as bad, still really ****** if it is late after they said 09/19 both before and right after the order. Would have just ordered everything through Apple had I known.
Did you call AT&T and complain for them to fix or did the order status update on it's own?
I also got the 10/13 to 10/31 but my order status still shows that. My original order was 9/19. i'm extremely upset with AT&T at this time.
Don't lose hope! I've had this happen before but I got it in time anyway. Hopefully this happens for you.
I placed my order with a sales rep at ATT and he said it would ship a week late. I then I see my ship time slip to November! So I am going to try going into a store on Friday and see what they have. I did that with the i5 and cancelled the pre-order. So, I'll try it again.
i think apple is not fair about this
maybe apple shipped for all people on 19 only for full price purchased or upgrade full price

This is why I never, NEVER trust AT&T with a pre-order. They have done this with EVERY SINGLE iPhone release.
