be original now don't ask for the same old. a self cleaning screen would be pretty original and useful.
I had a ipod touch with the chrome back and the same silicone case. took the case off and the back looked horrible my iphone 3g looks far better in the same dusty environment.

They could create a screen that exhibits the lotus effect.

Basically just wipe the screen with a cloth and BAM, instaclean. Dang, I should have patented that. Now I lost millions.
Ooo, then coat the screen with what they coat Blu-ray's with, then it's super easy to clean and essentially scratch proof.

of course it is. tell we get a little further along in technology and invent force fields or repelling screens of course.
What it really needs is a "Documents" area of memory, where you can save your files , especially attachments received in the mail app. All apps should have acces to this area of memory so that you can open and save files to/from it in your apps.
For example someone emails you a word document. You can save it to your "Documents" folder on the phone. Then open it in Quickoffice and make a few changes. Then you could email it back, or transfer it with Air Sharing, etc, etc.
The iPhone genuinly needs this sort of functionality. I hope they address it in 3.0.
