What Time 3.0 released in the Uk

I was wondering if anyone knows what time the 3.0 software will be released in the uk. i am asking as i will be without an internet connection after 1pm until saturday and would like to get the software asap. am i wright in thinking that 2.0 was released at 6pm?

Landscape email and texting are pretty much the best features IMO.

This alone is what I'm salivating over. Everything else is bonus.

I rarely type anything in Safari, other than a quick Google search, but the little time I've spent typing in landscape, my god, makes a huuuuge difference being able to use both thumbs. Still baffles me that this facility wasn't available from the get go.

You can actually work out when this firmware is going to be released.
First work your way through the Apple sites in the different time zones that show the date for release. You will find 2 that are close to each other on which the date will change. Here are 2:

Apple India (June 17th) - http://www.apple.com/in/iphone/softwareupdate/

Apple Thailand (June 18th)- http://www.apple.com/asia/iphone/softwareupdate/
(I know the link says Asia but this was from the Thailand Apple site)

India is +0530 UTC
Thailand is +0700 UTC

Here is the fixed time for midnight between 17th and 18th June. This should help calculate the time.

This means for the UK it will be between 6pm and 7:30pm

Ive had 3.0 since Friday, the Gold version the one most will get tomorrow.

Theres lots of cool things in it, spotlight is suprisingly fast and the little touches like new icons for phone and ipod apps are good.

FYI. I got a text from o2 before saying that MMS is now up and running, they even sent me a little MMS too. I've tested it and sent a pic of my car to my GF and it worked. So tomorrow everything will be fine!

When I updated to 3.0 today I got a text from O2 saying they would set it up for me as soon as my iPhone restarted, got a picture from them saying it was working within a minute. Works great now

I had mine earlier today saying that the MMS was enabled.
I was so excited I even posted it on my twitter with pictures of the message and the picture O2 sent.

Looking forward to this now, the Apple store replaced my launch 3G today (faulty speaker phone) with a brand spanking new one, w00t!

Thats what you get when you try to send one.

You get a quick text saying that MMS hasn't been set up on your account yet, please allow us some time to do this. In the same minute I had that picture delivered, then I sent a pic to my GF.
