iPad What time preorders start for the new iPad Air 2?

That would be great. I am out in the field and will order via my iPhone 6. I hope the heck it still allows the Express Checkout. I RE-activated my credit card yesterday. Seem Apple turns off the Express Checkout after a period of time and you must renew over and over. :mad:

do you think it will sell out fast? which model are you guys going to pre order? im gonna preorder an ipad air 2 64gb
 
I got up at 5:30AM to order one and went back to bed since it looked like nothing was going to happen for a few hours. Looks like the extra sleep was good as I see the store is now down. Maybe it'll be back up when I get back from the gym today.
 
Already going down as the most f-d up product launch by Apple. 9 hours into the 17th and you still can't order yet when the order page clearly said order on the 17th. It doesn't specify the time, but it's still the 17th by 9 hours, and they still aren't available...

Instead of me biting the Apple, I'm ready to tell Apple to bite me.

Which Apple product launch do you think was worse? This one has to be the worst in my 10 year Mac user memory regarding information passed to the consumer.

Actually asked Apple Store hotline yesterday. They didn't even know. The site's been down now for almost 2½ hours. Get your act together Apple! It's 15,5 hours into the 17th in Europe!

Might just by pass the preorder thing. Got a bad taste during the iPhone 6 preorder. I know it won't be the same, but wonder when these will be delivered vs going to the store? What day next week?
 
I stayed up rather late last night for no reason. I got up this morning at 6:30 am PST and Apple Store was down again. It finally opened up at 8:09 am PST. I immediately got my order in for:

iPad Air 2 128GB Gold Shipping in 2-4 business days and delivering around Oct 23-27th. But this was one of if not the fastest launch in a long time. Others I had to wait weeks before seeing anything I ordered but the iMac with Retina Display and this iPad Air 2 went more smoothly than expected.
