As my local o2 stores are part of shopping centers (fire exit, security guard issues etc) they're still opening at their normal time of 9am.

This means I either queue from 7 - 7:30, when I would expect the queue to start forming for an 8:02 opening (you can guarantee people will just assume it'll be opening at that time) or I chance my luck with everyone else on their way to work

I guess mine won't be opening till 9 as it's in a shopping centre. However, as I live in a one horse town in Surrey with both a CPW and an o2 I don't expect there'll be massive queues when I wander in at some point during the day. I'm secretly hoping they'll have sold out though because I really want white but if I end up holding a black one on Friday I'll go for it, and then I'll be really hacked off! ;)

I need to be in central london for work at 10 so will be arriving by train at 7.30 and am really not sure which CPW to go to! It needs to be a CPW as im billed by o2 carphonewarehouse on a non-iphone contract.
Im thinking the store by Victoria atm as thats close to where i need to be, but then was also considering kings road as there are 2 stores there so more option!

Am really undecided

Anyone else getting theirs in central London got any ideas where would be a good bet?

I'll probably be at the Apple store on regents street at around 4 am... but does anyone know if Apple stores will actually be selling the iPhone, as on Apple's website it only shows Carphone Warehouse and O2 as places to buy the iPhone...

I phoned the Birmingham store earlier this evening, and they confirmed that they are selling the iPhone to new customers, and they will have 8GB and 16GB versions. I'm assuming the Regents Street store will also sell the iPhone, but it's best just to check beforehand.

I've just got back from 2 x CPW and 2 x o2 stores and all have confirmed that they'll have plenty of 8GB iPhones (between 10 and 40) but only a few 16GB (between 3 and 9)!!!

So if you're after an 8GB iPhone and turn up at a reasonable time you're bound to get one, it could well be a different story if you're after a 16GB!

Someone was already queueing up at Regent Street when I went past late this morning.
