probably get to apple around 4 or 5...only for the fact I wont be able to sleep the night before anyways, so I might as well get up early and start the day! see ya in line

ill probably go pick mine up when i wake up... soooo that'll be around 5 in the evening :)

I have to decide whether I think I can get to work by nine am if I'm among the first in line...not that it would matter, because if I do get it before work, I won't be very productive that day anyway.

prob 6am or so. Luckily there is a starbucks in the same strip mall as the at&t store.

Also....im sure others have mentioned this, but make sure your at&t store even carries iphone. Some dont. You can find out on the at&t website. jic.

im gonna go around 3am, if nobody is there im just gonna start the line. i've never camped out for anything and i know i won't be able to sleep anyway so i figure this would be a fun one to wait for.

8 am
wasn't really that busy at the at&t's here the first time, so I don't think going early is going to have a benefit

i REALLY PRAY that there will be no line on the 11th as i live in a mid sized town. so there is a chance that it will be crowded, but there is a chance that it will be empty.

well i dont own a iphone atm but i will be getting in line at 10pm 7/10 because ill be camping out even if there is no line. lines got to start some where. btw im 18 and i only work on mondays - thursdays:)

after i get the phone i will official have no life... i will one of them.

(NOTE: is there ever ganna be a app for the iphone that has a light saber be cause ireally want one .. good times)

(also note: there probably welnt be alot of people at the corp store because its escondido a mexican town. though im not mexican)

Probably hit the AT&T around midnight when I get off work. Like others said, either i go get some sleep if there is no line, or pay Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks to keep me awake for hours.

So excited for this, I probably look at my countdown widget every minute it seems...

I work the graveyard shift so I dont get off until 7 but will head right over after that.

The rep at my ATT store said they expect a line and sold out of the first release of the iPhone. Hope I can get one on launch day!!

I'm driving by at 745 to check the lines. Thankfully my job, the Apple Store and ATT store are within a mile of each other. If there's a line, I'll just wait until lunch. Don't know how much work I'll get done by then... I'm constantly on macrumors.

I'll probably go after work because the fanatics (usually me, but not this time) should have cleared out by that time. Hopefully they have stock, which i predict they will have a lot of seeing how so many people are turned off by the announcement of the cell providers.

ANYONE who camps for the iPhone 3G is just lame. There is going to be ZERO shortage of the iPhone, however, your time on earth is limited. Why spend it waiting in line for something that won't be scarce? If you say "for the excitement of it all..." well that just proves my point.

I will be at my Apple Store around 10AM...on July 14th!

I already have the original iPhone so no way I will be in line early for the 3G, firmware 2.0 will be out and I'll be messing with that, and I really just want to let the madness go by before I dive in (activation issues are a guarantee early on). I'll let the weekend insanity go by.

Aw come on. You know how Apple fans are. We bitch, bitch, bitch, then go buy, buy, buy. Being turned off by a product has never stopped Apple's sales. To wit the following were all roundly panned by people on this very forum: the original iPhone (another MP3 player), the Mini (an iPod for chicks, a rip off compared to the full sized iPod), the original iPhone (no 3G, no Flash, no way), the MBA (It will never sell, it's more expensive and less powerful than a MB),

And now comes the 3G iPhone. It will sell plenty. There will be no shortage because Apple has amassed a ton. That is why the launch date is July 11, not June 30 or something to get sales into last quarter... Apple needed time to support a worldwide release.

I have to go early, say 7am. I have to get the phone as I will be phone less from july 9th to july 11th.

While I won't "camp" for the iPhone, I do disagree with your post. I've camped for a few things before (Wii was the latest) and it can be very fun and a great life experience to spend time with other enthusiasts. You often get to meet a fair number of people, learn things about them, etc. Yes, it sounds geeky but it's often so different than other interactions that it's a worthwhile and educational experience. A agree that it will unlikely be scarce, but that's not always the point.

People just don't think of being a technology enthusiast as a hobby vs plain old consumerism. Camping for new products isn't really that crazy compared to other expensive or geeky hobbies.

I have 2 at&t stores within less than a half of mile from me.1 is in the mall and 1 is in a shopping center.I will still be at either 1 at about 7am.I wont sleep the night before either.

my friend and i are still pitching back the time we should go there. He wants to get there 12 hours early, but i think its a bit much. Im thinking 2-4 hours early if early at all. people have to work on fridays and stuff so i do not expect it ALL that busy.
