This was a really frustrating fix for me. I must have reset my watch 3 times and then contacted Apple support only to be on the line with them for an hour and a half. They had me wait and wait and WAIT and WAIT to get back to me. Finally gave me a code and it worked but then I couldn’t get my Apple Pay to sync with my watch. Reset watch AGAIN, removed bank card from phone, added again and then my phone wouldn’t recognize the card. After a few more tries it accepted it and then I was able to add it again to my watch. So, my suggestion, if your watch doesn’t recognize your 3 months, don’t reset your watch, contact Apple but be prepared to wait a while for them to pay attention to you and help you fix it.

Does anyone know if this works for all watches if unpaired and re-paired? My sister has a Series 4 and wants to try this. If she attempts this, I'll report back.

Did anyone else receive a notification to use it for 3 months for free after contacting Apple to get it for 4 months free (they give you an extra month with the voucher)? My trial now ends in July 😂

yeah it seems if you have already done the trial with 1 month free you still get the 3 months they have marketed so I would suggest those who do it make sure you do the trial and subscribe first before contacting them

How did you get it to extend off the 4 months free? I get the prompt to add 3 months free now but the payment card that comes up doesn’t seem to factor in my existing 4 months free and says it would start billing on April 15? Did your payment card also say that?

Ok we we know we had a free trial for 1 month at the start and managed to get it to 3 months due to getting a series 6 but today I opened up the fitness+ app today and it gave me the option to add 3 months free so I thought wtf..so it appears apple has given a even more months free as it says from 14th July..anybody else had this?

Why would they need to do it before contacting them? Contact them first to get 4 months free, then select 3 months free on the notification to get what I got

I think so, but the email I got afterwards said July & so did the subscription page

Because I know some who didn’t activate it got it expiring after 3 months not 4. My friend who signed up hasn’t had the extra 3 months free on top unless it’s a an error

You have to contact them to get 4 months free. The standard for AW S6 owners is 3 months. Other AWs get 1 month.

I think you might be able to push it if you miss the 3 month window, but it'll be a bigger hassle I think, since it seems the terms outline it as that: https://www.apple.com/promo/pdf/EN_US_Fitness_Plus_Promo_TandCs.pdf

"Redeem your 3 months free in the Fitness app as soon as Apple Fitness+ launches.

Offer must be claimed in the Fitness app within 3 months after first setting up your eligible device."
That says any Apple Watch Series 3 or later is eligible. So a Series 5 activated after September 2020 would also see it?
