If I meet this kind of "special" friend, I think I will lack the time to actually make the page. :D

A good website to get ideas is:

www.coolhomepages.com

To get back on topic, this is what I am talking about. I could find one of these templates that I like and buy it but I want to know how to do this kind of thing myself. How are these templates created? Since I have never created a page of my own, is this something that is out of my league?

Yeah, UGA is about the only competition I see that we have. Maybe I need to make an Auburn Tigers national championship page? :D I will graduate in Spring and if we won the national championship this year would be awesome! What made you decide to go to Indiana?

Yeah, that might be a good idea.

I am going to indiana becuase it has the #7 finance program in the nation, and that gave me direct admittance into their business school.

kilpajr,

Sounds like you've got a bunch of reading to do. If you're interested in learning how to make 'graphical' websites, but don't understand where and how to start, that indicates you don't yet have a grasp of what html is and how it works.

My suggestion: try starting at Webmonkey. Specifically, try starting at Webmonkey's Beginner's page.

There's a whole bunch to learn, but I have a feeling you've got to get the basic concepts down first. I wouldn't recommend learning CSS, or XHTML, or scripting, quite yet. Each one of those topics are huge and might get you sidetracked and frustrated before you even grasp the basics of HTML.

Whatever you do, good luck and enjoy. Three years free webspace is fantastic (I jumped on it too) and you should really take advantage.

Best,
Logicat
