My biggest gripe so far...need video syncing across Apple TV’s. We have on many occasions watched a fight and solely use AppleTV’s on 3 different TV’s and it’s impossible to get them dead on. Apple should offer a way to sync the ATV’s and/or support a Master/Slave video solution where one ATV pulls video and shares same stream with selected others. Similar to how my Sonos stay 100% in sync and let me pick which room plays what or all the same.

iPhone without a notch please. Otherwise I’m getting whatever model that doesn’t have one.

Get over it. Every reviewer and most users say they don‘t even notice it anymore after using the X for a few hours/days. Don‘t miss out on the amazing X or it‘s successor just because of such a (literally) small thing.

Buy your iPad now. A notch on the Pad wold be horrible. Plus, being able to unlock it in horizontal mode would be critical. Does that mean two notches (or maybe three so you can unlock it horizontally with either edge up??).

My guess is the new iPad Pro will have reduced bezels all around similar to the current ones on the sides of the 10.5 inch. That will provide plenty of (notchless) space for the 3D camera and sensors.

I need a new Mac. I prefer modular systems. I don‘t need insane amounts of CPU or GPU speed/power. I hope there will be a low-end/cheap-ish Mac Pro and/or a high-end Mac Mini. With a really nice new Apple 5K(+) Display, of course.

The HomePod already feels DOA. It's like the HiFi all over again. Interesting design, probably will sound good, but unlikely anyone will buy them in any significant numbers. Way too niche and limited, too expensive for most people, and not a viable solution for home theater. A HomePod in a sound bar format with tight AppleTV integration (but not necessarily in the same box) might be more interesting these days.

I’m finding it hard to believe Apple would remove ALL homebutton models.
I’m surprised by the amount of people who use my X and seem to be utterly lost without the home button. Of course if you’re forced to use it, maybe they will grow to love it. I know my parents would hate not having the home button.

I agree HomePod is DOA. I understand the power of the Apple brand to sell anything, but unlike a phone, watch, iPad, or even notebook computer you can’t really take the HomePod out on the town to show it off. Owning a “fashion” or “luxury” brand matters less when a customer can’t show the product off. Of course the bigger reason is Amazon and Google are already doing an amazing job in this market and offer many price points.

HomePod is pretty much Apple Music only unless you want to live streaming with AirPlay forever. It doesn’t play well with Android phones either and Apple’s walled garden will cause huge limits on this product. It also has no Bluetooth or any other inputs so it’s extremely limited for $349. Sure true Apple fans with plenty of money will rush out to get one, but everyone else will keep buying Amazon Echos and Google Homes. Apple is pushing sound quality, but this is a home assistant market not an audiophile market. Besides true audiophiles will still never buy it.

Universal apps sound good. I’m not sure how they would manage that for use on the Apple TV but it sounds good.

I am going to chime in with my prediction on how Apple with move forward with a Mac mini / Pro [well I hope they do anyway]

I think they will develop a modular Mac. One that can be specced low and high through adding the modules.

This will also provide an eGPU for the MacBook Pro and create a Mac mini that can be scaled up and down allowing upgrade paths, flexible modules throughout their computer systems and also develop a high end system for the pros.
It would be awesome to be able to have a MBP for example and use the pro GPU's or have a multicore CPU machine with a low spec GPU [if thats what you need]. Simple modules to create a desktop and mobile solution for all.

I would imagine it is not that easy to do, but one can hope......... it has been hinted at.

What's the purpose of universal apps, it doesn't make any sense, are you moving apps from one to the other with a USB stick or otherwise????
It doesn't need to be universal when there's the App store.

I would like ...

1. A Mac Pro Box that I can open easy and put whatever cards, processor upgrades, RAM, etc.
2. No need to be super over stylish design - just simple, clean design, easy to upgrade whenever I want.
3. Base model not too expensive. I'll upgrade what I need, when I need it.

Some of my wishes for 2018.
