I had the Oculus Rift and now I have the Quest 2. VR/AR is a massive game changer... it's already really good and the options are endless, imagine when Apple gets involved and starts pushing the competition.
What’s the difference between rift and quest 2?

Waiting for the goggles. My buzzkill wife is sure that I will be left crawling on the floor due to the situational vertigo problem I have, but it would be worth it... ?‍??
Sometimes my wife sees me wearing my Quest 2 goggles and she asks what I'm doing. Half the time it's "Playing with crabs on a beach" or "ducking behind this crate so I won't be shot" ?

The capabilities are good enough, the comfort is not. I've tried the latest and the experience starts with amazement at the visual quality and responsiveness followed by grinding, distracting fatigue after about 15 minutes.

I am not sure I care about wireless charging for iPad. It appears it's coming because eventually iPhone and iPad could be totally wireless.

It would be cool if a new Apple Pencil could write on a Magic TrackPad.

How thick would an iPhone with no camera bump plus case be?

Apple silicon uses less heat. A new Mac mini could be thinner and 2/3 its current size. The various connections could be the reason it is physically larger than it needs to be. They could have ports on 2 or more sides if the unit is small.

Why is Apple using BlueTooth instead of "true wireless" for AirPods Pro and AirPods Max if Bluetooth is limiting for lossless music?

As an 30 yrs old Apple customer I really hope it stop make stockers happier and return to make product at least buyable.
Every single Apple OS is worst than the last 5 yrs releases, AppleCare is just scam, Apple HW is what I can’t talk about but the last expensive products (excpet Apple Watch/HomePod/AirPods/every Apple service with month~annual payment) I’ve bought from Apple (iPhone SE 2016 at D1; MacBook 12” 2015~2019) were defective by design (7 iPhone SE in 2 yrs, 2 screen for home button, 3 battery; 7 screen on 2 MacBook, the 2015 ones burst one screen at year, the 2019 is in the same trend, two battery, bottom case, top case).
I’m still a PowerBook 12” owner, had 2 of them made in 2005, still rocks, with all the hw/sw bugs.
I’m not a stocks owner, but I think Apple stocks are the only product really available from this company from years.
Just stop to sell alpha products without test, or unbelievable os releases buggy as monkey coded them.
wow you must be hard on your products. I used MACS since 1985 only had to return on lap top bake in 1996 they replaced it with no problem. Had an iPhone 6 for almost 10 years No repairs , iPhone 10 for 2 years no repairs.

patiently waiting for a larger iMac.

might be tempted to replace my 12 Pro Max with a 14 Pro Max but we'll see.

i like the idea of AR/VR headset. i hope Apple give Facebook some good competition because i refuse to buy anything from them. still i'm not sure i will be buying a 1st gen product.

I was impressed by Macrumors's bold, blunt declarative statements:

"Apple is doing away with the wedge design, and the new machine will have no taper, instead featuring a look similar to the MacBook Pro."
"As for ports, it will feature multiple USB-C/Thunderbolt pots, but it will not have the SD card slot or HDMI port that have been included on the MacBook Pro."
Evidence? Proof? Source?

Other things were properly identified as *rumors* with qualifiers such as "unlikely", but not two statements.

I realize that many pundits have made both statements, but that doesn't make them true!

What does MR know that isn't being revealed? An inside source at Apple? A confidential leaker? Workers on the assembly line?

Or, in reality, are these merely "likely" possibilities rather than sure things as categorically asserted by MR?

Many of us would be sad to see the wedge shape go as it is one of the most appealing features of the MacBook Air and we find it far more ergonomic than the squared off front end of the MacBook Pros.

Hope that it turns out that Apple reconsidered this and we get the classic wedge shape, after all.

Yes! Apple needs to introduce a 30” iMac and 17-18” MacBook Pro. Instant, purchase right here.

It's going to be really boring for the bigger iMac if it's just now 27" and a dark color. Updated internals, big deal.

I would like to see an iPhone Pro Max that supports the Apple Pencil.

As another 30 year plus Apple user, I feel the best thing Apple can do is re-simplify.
I see it as Steve Jobs’ best business move.
Say goodbye to Lightning connectors across the entire line. It had a good and useful run but no longer necessary.
Go back to just consumer and pro lines of all desktops and laptops, I.e. MacBook vs MacBook Pro, no need for the Air designation.

"including the first iPhone without a notch," - I think that line needs to be updated. There were plenty of models before the notch was introduced. I'm still using an iPhone 8 and it has no notch.

Laptop is a legacy a tool designed before touch screens and AR.

Abolish them Apple. Take the lead, iPad is a potential ‘laptop’ screen anyway. Magic keyboard 3 should should Look like a MacBook just without screen. No more top heavy.

Increase in dividends and the goofy goggles are the things I'm looking forward to.

And of course more rumors about the Apple Car.
Definitely about the Apple Car. I just want to know the direction of where Apple is going (I.E-Autonomy software, an entire EV, or-something entirely….different…)

To me, this is the biggest project that has the most uncertainty of.

Good thing 2021 offered so any new hardware releases as it not so painful now to wait for all those 2022 hardware updates coming our way. :D

I thought the upcoming external displays are more important to a lot of us then then this small paragraph in this article.
Apple Displays
Apple is working on an updated version of the Pro Display XDR and other lower-cost Apple-branded display options that are expected to be sold alongside it. Apple could release a 24-inch display, a 27-inch display, and a 32-inch Pro Display XDR successor, and these display options could come out at some point in 2022.
Many Mac users have been patiently waiting for Apple to recognize they need to sell matching Apple Displays for a lot of Mac setups.

Landscape facetime camera on the IPad Pro would be amazing. I don't have the latest version, so I don't know how much the tracking technology fixes my current issue. But every Ipad case holds it in landscape, so when I facetime I'm always at a weird angle for the other party. Drives me insane.
Please be a true rumor. :)

I feel like the iPad Pro MagSafe rumor is off the mark. Wouldn’t it make more sense for it to use the MagSafe connector from the Mac line?
In my opinion, magsafe should be used in any Apple device.
I've been longing for this for so long.

I am most interested in the iPhone SE (need to update my now 5+ year old phone) and the MBA (would like something lighter even though I just bought the M1 MBA).
