Unraid my friend. My server has about 45,000 episodes and over 6,000 movies. Beats any service out there.I know Apple won't do it but I would love AppleTV to have a way to attach an external drive so I could have all my movie library locally and Apple have a software like Plex/Infuse to access it in a simple way.
We’ll see how this plays out! Still unclear if formats like TrueHD will be supported.Coming in all of the 26 releases https://developer.apple.com/documentation/avfaudio/avaudiocontentsource/passthrough

Passthrough audio is finally on the way to Apple TV
We've confirmed at WWDC that tvOS 26 is getting passthrough audio, which could allow a higher quality listening experience by disabling audio preprocessing on the Apple TV hardware, before hand-off to a sound system.appleinsider.com

I have a NAS and it works OK, I was just hoping Apple could make a solution for local libraries but I know it will never happen.Unraid my friend. My server has about 45,000 episodes and over 6,000 movies. Beats any service out there.

an optional nice/inconspicuous-looking privacy-focused camera
I would prefer some kind of manual slide cover, but that can always be a third party add on. Apple will probably at most do a hardwired LED. I know a lot of webcams have LEDs but not sure they’re hardwired. Motorized rotation to a blind position is another option, but probably too complicated.what do you mean by a privacy focused camera?
You'd run into processing issues, overheating on transcoding, they need to take a page from the Nvidia shield.make it a tiny stick. Having boxes with many wires under ones tv is so two decades ago.
