What are everyone's thoughts on the pull down Notifications and how they've changed? They're okay...I like some of the stuff (Up Next w/map and even Contacts), but like the look of 9's better.
I didn't like how it ignored my settings from iOS9. Notification centre needs to be reconfigured after updating

So far so good. The only thing I don't like is how much space empty widgets take up. Minimum size needs to be reduced at least.

Agreed. That and the Touch ID process to unlock the phone is terrible. If you press the Home button too hard it invokes Siri and if you press it too lightly you have to press it twice to unlock the phone. It takes just the right kind of press to go from a locked phone right into the Home screen like you've previously been able to do. I hope it's a bug and not a feature or iOS 10 is going to suck.

I'd rather press the Home button and enter a passcode than have to look at the phone to see if I pressed too hard or too lightly to unlock it.

On SE - battery life isn't as good. Google maps has an annoying bug with the icons. Some minor UI stuff, that's about it so far.

With this I fighting also. This feature doesn't make sense for me. If there will be 2 options to choose from slide and press, it'll be perfect.

Video talks about a bug in playback where it randomly pauses...you can add or skips track...or stops playing. Or does anything except do what I want it to do. Yea, thats not a beta bug...its very present in iOS 9.

Noticed that volume buttons are unresponsive sometimes, and that the timer on the clock app's alarm cannot be stopped by hitting cancel button. I submitted these to Apple.

I've noticed this so far at least with streaming audio including podcasts and soundcloud.

Also I have some weird bug where my podcast app is missing but I can launch it through search.

I've installed the beta on my 16GB iPhone 6 and my 32GB 9.7 iPad Pro. So far both seem to be running great. I'm not sure I like the changes they've made to the Health app. It would help if the links to videos explaining the changes actually ran videos.

Installed it on my old 6 just to play around.

Laggy overall (no surprise) but seems better than the first 9 betas..

New lock screen will take some getting used to.. And the clock app with the bigger font and dark background is a bit jarring.

Plan on carrying it around and using the feedback app as needed.

If anyone is thinking about putting it on their main phone, wait a bit. It's not there yet.

It's not there yet I agree, a few issues with responding and launching apps and off the lock screen but generally for a first beta it's been pretty good

I think it's working surprisingly well for a beta.
I concur.

I keep one iPhone reserved just for beta testing. It's a fun way to try out operating system betas and any app I'm not sure about. Without risking my daily driver, I'm free to do anything I want.

This latest version of iOS is one of the best thus far.

Can one still sync your music flawlessly with the existing iTunes onto the updated iPhone with iOS 10 beta?

Overall, I haven't encountered major issues since installed it Friday night. I have noticed some lag (installed on 6s) Although today was the first day I used my phone as an alarm for work and I could not get the alarm to snooze or stop. I'm assuming it is bug, but I'm thinking of using my SE tomorrow morning for the alarm since I need to get up at 4am and don't want to wake up my fiancée.

I reported a bug. When I first go into a folder and click on an app, all the apps wiggle (like if I wanted to rearrange them or delete them). Also, when I want to tweet a pic from Instagram or post an article from Apple News to Twitter, an error occurs...aca-awkward ;-)

I'm a bit confused guys, does the latest beta actually have DARK mode or was this just a wishful thinking even after the show? Some said the Dev. versions had it or was there a feature in there but wasn't working? Anyway as you can gather I'm a bit confused... so is there a Dark mode coming or are we still waiting for that until iOS 11. ?

No dark mode in iOS10.0 10.1 at the earliest (like how night mode was a 9.1 feature).

Wouldn't download on my iPad Pro 9.7" but did on my iPhone 6s Plus.

Love how the return/delete key keeps throwing my reply to the bottom of this mobile site ha!

I had the same issue on my iPad Pro 9.7" - as well, no problem with my iPhone 6s+. I was able to get it done on the iPad by deleting the 9.xx beta profile first, then asking software update to do it's thing.
If you have been using the beta versions of iOS 9, go to settings, locate the iOS 9 beta profile and re-inquire ( if you've already downloaded)

I've had zero issues with syncing playlists, all my iOS 9/el Cap/shared library and playlists match perfectly.

I guess I'm in the minority, as I love the new Music app. Page one. Choice one. "Playlists". That's ALL I needed to be impressed ;)

As well, I'm going to be using it through GM release this fall. I've been thoroughly impressed with its stability and ability to continue using the vast majority of my daily apps. Apple doesn't make most point releases (unlike 7's major facelift) incompatible with apps on the platform right away ... and if incompatible issues arise, it's usually resolution and UI challenges, teething pains they went through during the quadrupling of rez iPads and iPhone increasing height as well as scaling with the '6' devices. Xcode has kept up and been brilliant with app resolution scaling changes on the simulation.

I'm also wondering if the 'lag' and non-fluid UI experiences are relevant to the devices with < 2GB of RAM - as it's definitely the last thing I'm experiencing ... either on iPP or iPhone 6s models. Mine has been as fluent as iOS 9.3.4/5 - can't remember which I had before the 10's installation 48 hours ago. Especially the 3D touch additions and 'layered' - much better and easier to 'see' before acting UI ... with some phenomenal 'locked' phone interaction and ability without unlocking.
No problem with working with my watch. Messages is insane. I love it, as well as little improvements I'm noticing everywhere. For instance, go to store and updates and notice the unnecessary button to 'update all' now. Maybe it's reserved for cell updates, I'll try tomorrow but @ home & on WiFi, all updates immediately are 'updating' when they 'pop up' as fresh - in need of an update apps.
Widget management will now become more important and I think widely used as it's there - on the lock screen left camera right. No mode lower right corner for cam and middle or left lower for control panel.
Also the very cool 3D touch options ON those control center 'Micro-Apps' like flashlight dimmer and regular timer settings. Definitely helps bring forward key areas like 3D Touch, notification shade and widgetry to folks (like my parents) who'd never use them, they're hidden from Average Joe n Jane. The geeks like us know the tricks but for many it's still phone (& maybe camera) first and foremost. Flashlight, day planner, maps and third party apps are all tertiary, as Messages and FaceTime are secondary apps (& already included) for them still, and they have zero need of interest in App Store downloads or options that mirror Apple/iOS apps and improve the experience. Ala Fantastical.
Got a lil long, my bad. As such a major release that takes advantage of the newer hardware facilities, I'm going to live with the beta system, enjoy it and I'm sure pass along some hints in September, October to family & friends just updating to the Public iOS 10 release.
(Messages is VERY )
