i am anxiously awaiting 6.x.x to see if Apple has fixed the flash sync problem. i am waiting on the next iOS update before taking my iPhone in to Apple for an exchange since i think it is just a software problem.

other than that, i would really like the native youtube app back, because the one in the app store does not work very well (videos refuse to play, app becomes unresponsive, etc). but i know i'm in the minority with that request since it seemed like a lot of people didn't really care that the orig app was pulled with iOS 6. so i doubt that will happen.

Google has already put out a new YouTube app which is many many many many times better than the app that Apple was supporting.

and yes i agree i would like google maps back. I really want it mainly for the traffic. I cannot rely on apple maps for traffic at all.

Is there any way to play a portrait video in portrait mode full screen? That's my beef with the new youtube app. I couldn't figure out how to do it.

Bluetooth issues being fixed would be nice.

App store not stupid looking.

Notifications area add ins like brightness changer, bluetooth on/off switch, etc.

-basically, the MAPS issue.
-fix bluetooth issue
-optimize the battery life
-optimize wifi connectivity on 5Ghz frequency.
-better cellular voice
-ability to hide or delete stock apple apps (which i doubt it won't happen)
-optimize the icloud integration
-optimize Siri (if anyone still cares)

Based on what we saw last year with the iOS 5.0.1; I wouldnt be surprised if developers get a iOS 6.0.1 beta after the keynote and than its released when the iPad mini comes out on November 2nd.

I hope it addresses the battery life issues on the 4s. My wife's 4s has terrible battery life now ever since I updated it for her.

My 5 however is actually pretty good.

1 more thing. Want swipe between different types of reminders back for the Reminder app. Now I have to click the upper left menu button thingy before I can change to a different kind of reminder.

Those who have battery issues, restore as new worked for me+reset all settings

Phone keeps switching from wifi to data every now and then so lets hope that gets fixed

What I really want ( probably not going to happen) Can we have an option to block/ignore calls so when someone calls it gets routed to voicemail/busy signal integrate that with Privacy.....

more flexibility with sharing would nice not just FB and twitter, allow other apps too ( Probably not going to happen)

Just allow us to to ignore/block calls

My list:

1. Ability to delete pics on my iPhone/iPad, iPod Touch previously downloaded from my PC like I can do with the movies

2. Seemless LTE/3G handover. Right now, I always get that message saying no service when handing off from LTE/3G and vice versa

3. Fixing iTunes crashing on iPod Touch 4

4. Improved Skype handling - less freezes, ability to send other files not just pics

5. Privacy/Location sensor bug: Even with the apps closed, privacy sensor is still active as seen by the indicator

6. SMS: Ability to write your sms and then select the recipient. Right now, I have to select the recipient first and then type the message.

7. Faster ambient light sensor adjustment

8. Camera: Zoom in ability when recording video

9. Hiding all apps or at least being able to move all the apps into a folder that you create

10. Deleting music from device directly

11. Integration with third party Twitter apps

12. Fix or kill Siri.

13. Syncing: incorrect storage allotment when syncing.

I would love to see the following bugs fixed ASAP:

  • "Do Not Disturb" gives a BUSY signal! Come ON Apple!

I don't quite follow this, what exactly does it do?

Is Apple ever going to give us the option to close all running apps in one, or even two, simple actions?

Cody, try resetting all settings. I went from 5 hours to around 8 after finally trying it.

Did it. Set up as new phone. Disabled LTE and push email. Still, worse battery life than iPhone 1, 3, and 4.

There are 2 updates i use in IOS6 which i looked forward to over IOS5, both unfortunately don't work as i hoped. Maybe 6.0.1 will fix this.

Do not disturb - i hope they allow notifications of SMS of favourites rather than just calls.

Shared Photo stream - allow subscribers to add photos rather than just view/comment, etc

YES!!!

2. I don't have an iPhone 5, but i agree that would suck majorly.

5. what privacy sensor? the location arrow? you may just want to look at Privacy > location services > system services (very bottom) and see if anything there is using it. If you're driving it may be using traffic. I have Compass calibraion, genius for apps and location-based iAds turned off.

6. Just tested this out, pretty sure you can write the SMS and then choose the recipiant. yes it comes up with the cursor in the "To:" field but just touch where you type your SMS normally and you can type all you want, then pick someone to send it to.

8. agreed on this one. do not like, needs to be fixed

Todays tech news states that iOS 6.0.1 is being tested by carriers already. Should be out soon!

Tomorrow maybe?
