I would like to see custom watch faces and custom complications. But that may involve implementing a theme engine and that would likely increase the code base quite a bit.

I don’t think a blood pressure monitor is going to happen because the watch band would have to include a bellows/air bladder and it would be bulky and prone to breakage.

As much as I enjoy Face ID on my phone, I just don’t see it working on the AW. Face ID would require making the display smaller or the bezel larger in order to include the dot projector, camera and sensors. So which would be acceptable; same case size with smaller display or same display size with larger case and bezels?

As much as I'd love to see custom watch faces I don't see this rolling out any time soon. Custom faces are reserved for partners like Hermes and Nike. What would be a nice alternative would be even more modular faces or a watch face "workshop" tab/app.

I'm sure in time manufacturers will find tricks to tuck the camera inside the screen or make it so tiny it can fit within the bezel.

You know, I never thought about custom faces the way you do. And, I think you’re absolutely right.. it could be that having a custom watch face is one of the stipulations in the partner agreement. And losing that feature of the agreement may devalue the partnership.

A mm or two thinner, reduce the bezel further (more screen), 24-30 hour battery life.
That would be pretty neat, but Apple being Apple they'll probably do something like:
  • S6 now with 1mm thinner case
  • S7 now with 1hr more battery life
  • S8 now with 1mm thinner bezel
  • S9 now with 1mm thinner case
  • S10 ...
And so on.

I’d like the ability to manually download music or podcasts without having to be on a charger or connected to an iPhone.
Couldn't the iPod nano (whatever gen you could wear on your wrist) do that?

Sadly I highly doubt Nike will ever come in SS.

Nike is a sports brand [Hence ‘Nike Run’/watch faces], why would it be offered in stainless? (Rhetorical) There’s nothing sad about that. It wouldn’t be fitting for the Nike brand to be implemented into a stainless watch with a $700 price point.

I don’t understand why Nike can’t be offered in a stainless version? Weight? Materials? I don’t follow.

Garmin offers its watches in a variety of materials and it’s still considered a “sports brand.”

Garmin isn’t Apple, nor do they conflate with each other. However, I might be pompous for saying this, but I think Nike should be left alone as the aluminum entry watch the way it is [Which I think Apple would agree], the stainless/Edition models is the more ‘premium’ version I think Apple wants to incorporate the ‘fashion sense’, even though these watches all do the same thing, I think there should be a separation factor. There’s nothing ‘sad’ Nike remaining aluminum, it should stay that way.

I reckon a Nike SS sounds like a grotesque idea, but personally I prefer the finish of steel to aluminum and I happen to like the Nike face. However I know that we will never have them together - hence the "sadly". Should any face be available on any AW, or if Apple allowed fully custom faces, I could care less on what material the Nike version comes. I understand too well marketing and profit maximization wouldn't permit this tho.

No, it doesn't. I think the Nike watch faces work well with AOD, and I prefer the sapphire screen and build quality fo the stainless. I'd buy a stainless AW Nike if it was offered (and on sale!)

Other than an increase in battery life, I'd like to see Hermes watches in Titanium.

Having had the SBSS for a day, I can now say that I'd prefer a lighter watch for when I'm working out. SBSS with the Milanese band isn't the best combo for the gym.

If they somehow could perfect up to a week battery life or 20 min charge a day (morning shower etc) means the watch would last perpetually would be huge. This along with the much wanted sleep tracking and better data presentation like Fitbit and they are on to a winner.

Wonder if adding kinetic/solar energy driven power would allow it to offset a lot of the AOD/idle power consumption? Probably unlikely due to size but is a nice thought.

I could see Apple offering titanium for the Hermès watch. And they should expand just aside from the stainless being offered with Hermes, that way I think it would gain some traction for marketing as well.

On device Siri that works without internet connection for simple actions like timers, events, reminders, start workout etc. to make them faster and more reliable.

Great poll.

My request for Series 6: Sapphire face for all. I prefer the light weight of the aluminum body, which also makes taptic notifications more readily felt. I'd pay an extra $50 for optional tough sapphire glass on the aluminum Watch.

An extra one (or two) hardware buttons that can use by apps without interfering with regular OS operation.

I would LOVE to be able to simply press a button to indicate a lap, or another button to start/pause an activity rather than the double-button-press or force touch I have to do now.

I don’t think Apple would add any more buttons, because that would only weaken the water resistance/allow more orifices for water to penetrate. Plus, to keep the watch a more refined looking device as it is, more buttons would probably just kind of give it a tacky appearance.

How about fixing the current bugs in WatchOS before adding any additional features that have more bugs on board?

I walk a lot during the day (usually about 10 miles) and when I look at my step count and distance it takes about 10-15 seconds for it to update. I would like for it to be updated when I look at it and not have to wait. Plus, a two-plus day battery life.

Yup there is next to no chance of this happening...not sure how a couple of extra flush buttons like the existing side button would impact the aesthetic in any significant way though.
