You are right. There is something very cohesive and fluid about the S4 44mm.

I have a S3 and it doesn't feel the same.

I think we'll remember the S4 as when it all came together.

yeah, this is the first time i haven't heard any android fanbois calling it a "toy" or saying "it looks cheap". actually, i've heard a number of them are planning to switch to iphone just to get the watch... which is all part of apple's master plan.

I wasn’t going to upgrade, but wife got it for me as a gift.

Love the new screen size and speed vs S2 (opening 3rd party apps was impossible.. now starting to actually look and see what would be helpful!)

I don't have one yet, but will be replacing my Series 0 with the S4. I guess that means my primary reason is improved performance. My old watch still works for basic functionality, but it has gotten too slow to be used in all the ways I used to use it when it was faster. I think, in order of importance, my top reasons to upgrade are:
  1. Improved performance over S0
  2. Larger display area (from a 38mm S0 to 40mm S4)
  3. Better heart rate monitoring (including ECG)

1. Bigger screen without getting the larger watch. I may love big phones, but the bigger watch on my petite wrist just didn't make sense.
2. Improved performance
3. I've been wanting to switch over to a silver SS watch - while I loved my Rose Gold S2, I hated wearing it at work-related functions and I felt really limited in my band options.
4. The special Hermes watch faces and the rose tri-colored doubletour looked really slick.
5. Health monitoring improvements.

I want the stainless steel gold. I know superficial

The only downside to the stainless gold, some of my bands would look awkward paired with this specific color. But one of the most interesting features about the stainless gold, is it really a transformative under certain lighting, sometimes it’s a brighter gold depending in the light and then more of a dark bronze in a darker environment.

I pulled the trigger today, I got the 44mm gold with the white sports band

The speed is great, but I was never in love with the size of the 42mm S 3 on my skinny wrist. The 40, along with a bigger display than the S3 is a great sweet spot. It feels a little tiny as I've had it less than a week, but then the display comes on and it just looks great.

Even though the 44 would have a bigger display yet, that big of a watch face would just look ridiculous. And I love that it sits better on my wrist than the S3.

Tbh as much as I prefer it as a smart watch over other platforms I still view it more as a toy then a “watch” . Don’t get me wrong I love it but it doesn’t look like a traditional watch which is why I loved my Fossil Google wear watch. It looked like one on my wrist. Doesn’t need to be an Android fanboy to call it a toy or because they have their own opinions. As far as looks goes i don’t love the Apple Watch but I don’t hate it. At the end of the day it’s a very good tool.
