At the end of my Junior year of college, I applied to 27 internships. I got rejected right and left until I finally got an offer from a place I wasn't really interested in. I turned down my only offer on Monday and got an offer from Disney on Friday. That internship changed my life, my focus, and my career path.

Going to university in edinburgh. None of my friends went to scotland so it was a completely fresh new start for me which was an absolutely perfect opportunity to get a major issue in my life resolved fairly smoothly, so far so good.

I'm going to have to say deciding going back to school...although I don't actually start back until September. It helped me realize how many of my talents were going to waste at the rut of a job I was stuck in.

Of course I'm not looking forward to having a pile of student loans to pay off and being older than sin when I graduate, but I'm already sure it's the best decision I've ever made.

i was in the identical boat (and almost the same age) and trust me: it was worth it 1,000,000%.

Deciding to learn sign language.

I was a deaf adult who was brought up to pretend that I wasn't deaf and to reject deaf people and anything associated with things like that. Wierd yes, but thats how it was.

I'd be dead now if it wasn't for sign language. Thanks to sign, I now have a lovely long term partner and beautiful deaf daughter, all things I thought were impossible in my life.

Is it genetic, I never heard of deafness (if that is the right term) being passed through to a child. But thats a great story of over coming language barrier.

As I understand it sometimes it's genetic (my sister is slowly going completely deaf).

Oh, ok my friend's cousin has the same thing... Hes traveling the world before he loses it all. Thats a man i'd like to meet some day.

i switched from cascade powder detergent to costco kirkland brand. i still get clean dishes and save mucho deniero at the same time. go me!

Choosing to revise my arse off when studying to get into the school I'm at now...

Worst Decision: Not studying RIGHT NOW for GCSEs....damn MR's 'Time-Out' left me with so much to say

Do you still work their? If so what area?

Well, many things led me to where I am now. I used to love game shows, so I wanted to be a game show host, and then I realised that the best game show hosts were former news anchors, so I wanted to become one, so I bought a kiddie camera and made my own news network, which led me to become a film editor.

Three years ago, my sister found me a weeklong class on film editing. I was reluctant because it was $600 and I thought I could buy a new PC with that kind of money. But, I decided to go, which caused me to switch to a mac, buy a mac, and buy Final Cut Express. Now, I'm a film editor for a major music label! One of the best decisions I ever made.

Nah. It was a six month internship. I was in the greenhouses at the Land in Epcot. It set me back a semester, but I realized I hated the direction I was heading (basic research) and through Disney I met several folks who opened my eyes to new directions. That was 11 years ago! I still have a few friends down there, though.

To anyone who will listen - internships in college are so totally worth it, even if it puts you back a semester or two.

About 9 years ago I quit a job I loved, but which paid peanuts, and took a job I don't love that pays a LOT more.

It was the best thing I ever did. Having fun at work is overrated when you're only there 40 hours a week. Better to make some money so you can enjoy the other 128 hours in the week.

Don't know what the BEST decision was in my life, but I can tell you the WORST decision.

I graduated college in May 04 and had may job offers - all paying pretty low but a couple of them were great opportunities. Shortly before starting one of my jobs, I got into medical school by coming off the waitlist. The next Monday, I was then offered an opportunity to join a large company with excellent pay. It was difficult for me, I was coming off a bad injury I received my last semester in college and was frankly sick of school. Going against the recommendations of my entire family and girlfriend, I took the job. To this day, I regret my decision. Although I am trying to get back to that crossroad, I am having difficulty getting there. I still hate myself to this day and hope I can get where I want to go.
