What is the main feature you wanted in the new iPad?
Whether it was implemented or not, I'd still like to know.

Also, if you list a feature that wasn't implemented, are you still buying the new iPad?

For me, even before the keynote.. all I wanted was the Retina display.
If that was the only feature implemented I would have been happy, every other feature was just icing on the cake.

Got me very enthused since Retina display was the first feature announced too.

Btw fun fact: I was drinking Apple juice during the keynote. Ironic? :p

Two things-

1. Retina display

2. Camera capable of photographing A4 sheet music in usable quality.

Sorted.

Defiantly the retina display, everything else was a bonus.

quad core processor
retina screen
siri

The camera upgrade was a bonus since I don't use it for pictures, but would have like an HD camera for the front for facetime/skype.

I am sure the processor will run fine so I can live with the A5X. The retina screen will be nice. I love it on my iphone 4.

My biggest issue I guess was I was really hoping for full siri integration with the new ipad, not just siri like dictation. Don't get me wrong, i will take it since I can use it to help right emails and stuff for work and school but I was hoping it would have more functionality as a personal assistant on the ipad 3rd gen. Maybe even more than the iphone 4S.

Oh well, maybe in a future iOS update or next ipad.

Def the retina display, nothing else is even close. In fact, I can't think of much more I'd like to see done with the hardware.

I use FaceTime/Skype enough that I would have liked to see a HD front camera. Other than that I can't wait to see what improvements are made for iOS6.

I was hoping for a 128GB version (didn't get that) and more ram (probably getting 1G. Hopefully the ram upgrade will be sufficient. I'm getting a lot of low memory instances on my ipad2. Especially using Safari. If that's fixed I'll be happy. The LTE was just icing on the cake.

128 GB
Quad Core Processor CPU
1 gb RAM or more
Media Share Filesystem for Music, Photo and Video apps.

iPad 3 on the way anyway. Can't wait to Jailbreak it and install iFile.

+ Retina
+ Better GPU
+ 1GB RAM
- Faster processor,
- Mission Control (probably will be with iOS 6.0)
- No home button

**** iSight.

Retina display was my main desire, since the screen is the most important part of the iPad. I did get everything on my wish list, however, except Siri (and she's half there).

Retina was the final piece. Everything else was perfect. yeah the new camera is nice but no by any means essential.

BTW you SIRI people, its a nice gimmick on the iphone. Its a nice novelty to show off to friends. Making calls, writing texts, reading emails in a car is great with siri but take those functions away and you're left with something that leaves a lot to be desired. Not saying it wouldnt be nice having on iPAd but youre really not missing all that much. Voice dictation is much more useful and we should be pleased with that.

So to sum up, Retina was a must have, the extra hardware grunt should go to ensure the actual performance matches the iPad 2 and the other little tricks are merely nice extras.

I can see this iPad fulfilling my needs for years to come.

Retina

4G

That's all. The high-res screen won't be topped for a long while, and 4G is the cellular standard going forward.. until the next new thing comes along. ;)

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9B179 Safari/7534.48.3)

4G LTE

4G LTE was a nice addition because it sets a standard for the next iPhone, but for me, retina display was a must have in the new iPad.
