retina display, better camera and 1 GB ram. Looks like it has it all.
Oh and maybe more unicorn tears. :apple:

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

Retina. I always said I wish the iPad 1/2 screens were more crisp.

Retina Display

Other than that HD Facetime camera.

I don't really care about the rear camera personally.

btw fun fact. I thought I lost my keys just now and they were on the notepad on my desk. now that's ironic.

It was made by Apple.

Seriously though, because using my laptop was kind of a nuisance seeing as I now have an iMac for working at home, I would like to have something small to have on the go...

I wanted the ability to use the iPad in direct sunlight. I know this is a big ask, but it would be great if the iPad was as easy to view in direct sunlight as indoors. Short of this, it would be great if there was an option to change the screen so it could at least be a good e-reader in sunlight. While I'd really love to be able to watch movies etc, at least having the ability to easily read a book would be great.

It's all gravy to me since it will be my first iPad. The retina screen definitely made me glad I waited instead of buying the 2 at Xmas.

1 gb ram
Siri
Retina wasn't really a must have for me but should be nice.

The iPhone iOS applications that are missing :(

I want a clock, a timer, a countdown, ..
And sure, I can get unofficial third party ones, or hack this b* up and move over the apps. Doesn't really do it for me. I want the default apps available on both systems. Very disappointed it's still not there.

4000x3000 or greater screen.

didn't get it... but hey half way isnt bad

It will be nice to have an alarm clock app that plays your songs too

Retina display as I want to display my artwork and photos on the iPad.
Dissappointed at no siri but voice dictation will be great.

Not a main feature, but one I would liked to have seen --

Inductive charging.

Now that the iPad can function w/o the support of a computer it seems silly that Apple left this out. Plus thing of all the extra $ it would make selling the charger.

It would be such a joy to be able to put the iPad on a table and it would just charge vs. having to hook it up to life support every night.

Wanted 128GB. Retina and LTE are nice, but weren't my most wanted features.

128GB then Retina, LTE isn't needed for me since I get the Wifi only version.

1. More RAM.
2. Retina display.
3. Fellatio.

LOL.

Retina display...Got it.

Faster CPU....Got it.

128GB model...Didn't get it...

Two out of three aint bad....:D

It doesn't look like the CPU is much of an upgrade but the GPU portion is 2x, which is necessary for Retina.

Really would of liked 128GB..

Retina display and a better front facing camera.

I'd use the front facing camera more than the rear one, a couple mega-pixels on the front would have been cool.

laser beams.

Laser beams definitely. A device of this caliber should definitely have laser beams shooting out of it. Otherwise it's just incomplete.

Retina of course, but the thing I wanted and didn't get was default 32-64-128 storage.

Also wanted siri, but dictation is something at least.

I wanted Retina and 1GB of Ram since my iPad (first gen.) suffered miserably due to the low ram. Seems like I got both. Sold my original iPad on craigslist for a decent price. Now I just hope 16gb will be enough. I originally had 32gb and didn't use more than half the space ever, but I'm a little worried with the rumors of much larger apps. I guess I could always return the new iPad if it is too small.

Didn't really 'want' anything. The Ipad2 screen is fine, I don't really care about retina. Speed is fine, size and weight are fine. 3g is cool - I don't care to watch videos on such a small screen and browsing is fast enough now. No reason to even upgrade to the new one!

Mostly software changes. The ability to select default apps and for more apps to have more interoperability between them and the OS.

Hardware wise, SD card slot for more storage, built in HDMI. better front camera.

The main thing I would have liked is an improved capacitive touch sensor. Specifically one that could detect a smaller stylus point (the reason current capacitive styluses need such a broad tip is because the existing sensor essentially can't distinguish anything smaller from electrical noise).

After that would be the retina display. Which by itself is still enough to warrant upgrading.

128GB version and the ability to use it on either AT&T or Verizon on a whim. Even if it was only 3G for both.

That is what I wanted and was ready to buy on launch day but now I'm not. I still have a 1st gen device and will probably be keeping that for a while longer.
