Now I'm depressed, as this thread reminds me that I have not made a single Apple purchase in 2007.

Clearly, I'm not drinking enough of the Kool-Aid.

17" 2.33GHz MBP delivered two weeks ago. I waited and waited and got sick of the wait. I know it's not the latest processor, but it's got more than enough horsepower for my needs, and I got it brand new with Leopard and iLife '08, and saved $900. AND, after lurking here and elsewhere and noting the number of people voting for the matte screen, naturally I bought the glossy. It's great. All in all, this is one fantastical machine.
Next best was this morning, when I discovered that (on my work iMac G5) Apple wireless keyboards don't like coffee. I had to go to the local Apple Store for a replacement, so I got the newly redesigned one, and it's a fantastic keyboard.

I would say that my best Apple purchase for 2007 has been my iPhone. Granted, I've gotten a new iPod and MB in that same time span (and they work great), but the functionality of this mobile has been fantastic. It's amazing to have all that power in my pocket.

Sure, a 3g model would be brilliant, but whatever. It's such a step up from my previous BlackBerry that I was using.

Leopard, by far, is my best Apple purchase of 2007. Well, it's actually my only Apple purchase of the year...but it's still the best. :D

Same here, and at only £6 for the up-to-date disk, I'm a happy customer :)

Out of a iPod, iPhone, iMac, and Mac OS X Leopard, I have to say that I enjoy my iMac the most, next comes my iPhone, then my iPod, and then Leopard. The craziest thing is that I love leopard, so this has been a great year for apple products for me.

I recently bought the following: :D

  • Mac Pro 2 x 2,66Ghz
  • 5GB RAM
  • 2 x 500Gb HD
  • 2 x 1TB Samsung Spinpoint HD
  • Apple Cinema Display 23"

I think that and of course my iPhone were the best purchase this year for me.

nothing, I bought two iPTs, one of them is defect, I eventually returned the 2nd one as well.

thought about leopard, but decide to wait, either for 10.6, or 10.5.5, will see. since my MB's hardware aren't so good, if it die before the wait is over, I guess I can save money and get an linux instead. lol

so, all in all, nothing.

Hmmmm..

#1 My first MBP 2.2 4 gigs ram by far was the best purchase of the year for me.
#2 The shuffle that I bought to add to my 20 gig Ipod.
#3 Garagesale: helping to pay off the stuff...

Hmm...

Something between the Mac Pro and the MacBook Pro.

I loved the MacBook Pro for its power and portability but the Mac Pro is a true powerhouse.

I ordered a Mac Pro in June and it's a beastly machine.

I kinda (gulp) wish I had a laptop and a desktop, meaning a MacBook Pro and a (gulp) G5.

my 1.83 Ghz mini, hands down
My PowerMac dual G4 500 Mhz finally went to the great beyond, and the mini was a huge step up in terms of performance

My Mac Pro is not only my #1 in 07, it's probably one of the best purchases I've ever made. My life has literally changed in the 5 months I've had it as a direct result of this purchase. It's like before there was this grey haze over everything, but now it's all crystal clear.

It has been a big Apple year for me.

March -- 23" ACD
April -- Mac Pro
August -- MacBook Pro
September -- 4gb iPhone
October -- Second 23" ACD
Also got Leopard, but don't exactly recall when it came out.

Of all of those, I'd have to say I have enjoyed the Mac Pro the most.

Well, I had five 'major' Apple purchases in 2007.

iPhone
iLife '08 Family Pack
iWork '08 Family Pack
Apple Wireless Keyboard (Aluminum)
Leopard Family Pack

It's a tough choice. It really is. The iPhone is way better than my old Symbian Smartphone (although had the iPhone not been announced in January, I would have likely bought a Nokia N80 or N95 instead,) iLife '08 is a significant improvement over '06 in everything except iMovie; which is just "different". (I like it, but it doesn't 100% replace '06 to me.) My previous version of iWork was '05, so it was quite an improvement. The keyboard is much nicer to type on than my old wireless keyboard, although I do miss the numeric keypad and dedicated page up/down keys. Leopard is nice, although I won't be able to give it a full 'good or bad' rating until at least 10.5.2 is out, I expect.

If I absolutely had to pick one, it would be the iPhone.

probably my appletv or my iPod touch. The appletv is awesome and I use it all the time. My iPod touch is also awesome. I like this thread. Very clever.
