Had a week 42 when I bought a new iPhone 5 last Monday. Had it replaced at the Apple Store tonight and got a week 38.

Black 16 GB. Was flawless from start. Now has gotten an 1x1 mm flake out of the chamfer at the volume buttons, even though I've had a silicone case/bumper since day 1. No other issues that I've noticed.

The number's irrelevant, my iPhone 5 (the third exchange) is a sad example of an Apple product. Glad I shelved it.

Moving forward, I'll give them another year to see if they can build a phone that looks like new, and performs as Apple says it should.
