Week 46.
Black

The outside of the phone is flawless. Unfortunately, while downloading some apps, the screen started to flicker violently and wouldn't stop. I did a reset, and that fixed the flickering, but now there is a thin permanent black like horizontally across the screen that won't go away no matter what I try. :-(

Take it to the Apple Store or send it in if you don't have one near.

Week 48 (December) F2 (China, Zhengzhou - Foxconn)

After many returns and many defective iPhones Apple sent me a new retail box replacement directly from China. I had accepted there was no such thing as a perfect iPhone 5, but now know that there are. This one is flawless in all aspects.

I'm on my 4th iPhone 5 and hopefully my last. This one seems to be working out so far and I haven't seen any major defects. But then again, I'm not looking for them either. I'm tired of playing a swap game. :)

Production week: 45 (November)
Factory: F2 (China, Zhengzhou - Foxconn)

Settings > General > About > Serial Number.

If you still have your original iPhone and box then yes, you can also find this number on the bottom. If you have swapped it out then it may not match.

Mine was week 37, sept 10-16. It is currently with ups in china.
I'm curious to see what week the ones who have tracking numbers showing in Nashville were made.

To check yours go here to get your serial number...

Then go here to check the week it was manufactured...

I just checked my original iPhone it was the 27th week in 2007. 3 weeks after the release. So it should still be on the original iOS. Does anyone know when the second iOS was released? I can't tell what iOS it's on cause I have never activated it. I haven't dared it activate it after this long.

It is easier to look at the serial number in the box.

Yes, that was indeed a good week. The factory workers were actually fed that week and allowed 1 cold shower!

My black 32G, arrived on launch day, is a week 37. My wife's white 16G, arrived yesterday, is a week 40. No issues with either device.
