Sorry but I see no problem with Apple wanting to make a profit. Without profit we would not have iPhones. Samsung believes in profit, too.

I don't see a problem with that either (although I think the rampant profits in the modern corporate world can be ridiculous, but that's a different topic).

I was merely pointing out the fact that the SE does not exist out of the goodness of Apple's heart. It is a means to an end for them.

It would make a lot of people happy.

It's all up to Apple. The SE was a concession.

There is no guarantee they will update it though I would hope Apple will, at some point.

But again, they would rather convince you to buy the regular models.

The SE is currently part of Apple's plan to encourage people into the family and subsequently convert to the more profitable models.

They only need a percentage to convert to make business sense.

There have already been pretty conclusive rumors (as far as rumors go) about this. They will be redesigning the smallest iPhone. It will go from 4" to 4.3", and will sport a curved design, like the iPhone 6/6S, 7, and likely iPhone 8. My assumption would be this spring. Maybe next though.

Someone earlier mentioned a bump in resolution, I doubt that. It'll bump resolution to meet the same PPI, just like the 6/6S/7 did. Maybe they'll include better contrast/saturation though (higher quality, same resolution).

I hate the size and rounded sides of my 6S. I really miss my 5S. I would have bought an SE instead of a 6S for sure 100% except Apple released it months later and I didn't know it was coming.

Are there? I checked the iPhone SE Roundup and it doesn't say anything. But I'm not familiar with rumor sites outside of MR.

I forget exactly when, but it was more than 6 months ago. I only check Macrumors and 9to5mac, these articles were on Macrumors. It might have been Ming Chi Kuo who had manufacturer projections of sizes they were working on for upcoming models or something. There were 2 reports if I'm not mistaken, and then several months later a third report confirming the same details, however it was an offhand mentioning.

I'm not a fan of the rounded design either. In fact I absolutely hated it when the 6 was first launched. However I see no reason for them to keep the old 5S design around, especially if they're planning on upgrading the SE at some point.

Funny how it wasn't released in any emerging economies from the start then. :p

New products are always released in order of support availability. Countries with the most Apple stores get the products first. In the event of a stop sale or recall, reverse logistics are lot easier. The internal product support knowledge base is built based on customer encounters. Countries with Apple stores will encounter more in-person support interactions which helps phone support. This is standard practice across all industries.
