I'm getting the new one just because it's rumored to play Top Gun Online flawlessly!

All kidding aside I shattered my 3G a few weeks ago. I've been lugging (it is a tad bulkier) my 1st gen around with a huge dead spot right in the middle of the screen. I can't even use my "send" button so no text for me. Amazing how much I realized I actually do like/use text messaging now that I've had to go without it for a couple of weeks. Calling everyone is soooooooo 90's like OMG!

New features or not I can't wait for this new release and I'll buy the biggest one they roll out like I've done with the past 2 versions.

Not much could make me upgrade. Maybe if Apple fixes the cracking problem of the 3G.

I dont really care about the compass, better camera, slightly faster speed of opening app etc. Now if the new iPhone had a better screen (doesnt have to be resolution, but that would be nice) then I would probably upgrade.

Mainly depends on the cost for me

If o2 let me upgrade and its costs less than £200 then I will upgrade

Otherwise I will wait till the autumn to see if the improvements are worth it and then get one on payg (swapping sim cards)

As long as I am still alive and kicking on the morning of the new Iphone availability, its mine :)

If it has:

- An improved camera
- Video recording
- Front facing camera
- Video chat (iChat?)
- Sleeker Design
- 32GB +

I'll be in line.

.. better be digging out that tent now then.

R-Fly

It must have all of the following:

- Unlocked
- Open
- No contract
- Java
- DVB-H
- FM tuner
- microSDHC slot
- Slider QWERTY keyboard
- Removable battery

My Employment paying me :D

If the rumors of 32gb size and video recording are true i'm in the queue! If the Matte finish is true i'll stand on the people in front of me to get it asap!

I knew there was a reason i didn't upgrade from the 2g to the 3g

If you have the original phone then I agree with upgrading. If you have the 3G then I see almost no reason because none of the changes seem that impressive to me. Hopefully Apple surprises us all on Monday with revolutionary changes!

Does it print money???

No thank you. The new phone doesn't do anything that my 3G can't or won't be able to do with 3.0. I don't care about video. I am waiting until July 2010.

Lol at the video recording. I've had that for months on my iPhone 3G. Nothing is going to make me upgrade, except if they upgrade the RAM significantly, which I doubt they will.

I'll highly consider it if conference calls are allowed with its new camera. If they call this the iPhone video, they might as well perfect that component of it with a front facing camera, but I doubt that they'll significantly upgrade it until Summer 2010. I'll see in 2 days.

Oh man I completely forgot about the possibility of a 32GB.....holy sh*t, just knowing I have 32GB of space in my PHONE is an amazing thing...and it isn't hilariously bulky :)

I love technology :D

I need a 32GB model at $299 or less. AT&T could seal the deal by offering a $20 data plan so my bill doesn't go up -- I'm still on Gen 1. With these awesome apps like The Sims 3, I am running out of space for music. I already have deleted almost every photo and all videos. I would kinda like to buy Myst, but I can't use up that much space.

I also would like to get money out of my first-gen iPhone instead of having it as a relic. If there was a way to use it without a data plan, I could give it to on of my parents.

32 GB is probably nothing for some people, but most people probably don't even use up the 16 GB on current iPhones. The only way that I would get to 32 is if I copy a friend's music collection onto it, it would take me years to get up to 32 GB. But if the iPhone really does have a good camera, I might just never use the digital camera and use the iPhone for all video recording and photos. But of course when I travel abroad, I don't want to lose the phone, so I might still use the camera. If AT&T has the 32 GB at $249, I'll definitely buy it, else I think I might go with the 16 GB.
