I'm sure either Lynx or Cougar, since Apple trademarked those names a while back when they did Tiger and Leopard...
But seriously, I think it'll be Mac OS X LOLcat.
I vote for Lynx!
Too confusing. Sounds like "linux," and i'm old enough that when i hear "lynx" in the software context I think of the text-based web browser.
Kitty all the way!
It will be called Tomcat.
My vote goes for "Lion" ..
Meercat all the way!
Voted for Cougar but hope for pus*y... as always...
I like Ocelot.
thats funny but they say it wont be a big cat maybe Berlin?
I 2nd that, 'Ocelot' sounds kinda different but who said it will be named after cats, now leopards theme is kinda spacy apple seem to be moving away from cat's, might be planets next, OSX 10.6 Neptune
OS XI will be called teh Steve!
Snow leopard? Like freezing, slow... that kinda stuff? I think we have that now, waiting for the real leopard, the one that likes to run fast.
Didn't they already use Cougar? If not, I think it's the most realistic name we could see. Apple want to use cool cats with cool names. Something like Lion just doesn't sound cool to me.
No more 10.5 next version will be OS 11
So it might be change code name no more use Cat i guess
Lion cougar or lynx are believable but I just HAD to vote for Kitty .
11 could be dogs! Mac OS 11, black lab. Or just go with longhorn !
You're all forgetting the best big cat of all - Cat Stevens!
What were the old ones? I know .3 was panther, .4 Tiger, and .5 Leopard - but what was .0, .1 and .2?
Cheetah, Puma, Jaguar
I think that it will be called Pussycat or Cheshire Cat or Topcat
