Can't wait for the inevitable "Why I'm returning my Apple Watch" threads that are sure to pop up not even a full 24 hours after the release. Oh, and all the "battery life sucks" threads. Then again, these happen with every Apple product so nothing unusual here!

I know that I'll be talking about how the next 2 weeks will be the longest 2 weeks ever.

I'm expecting to see some sort of "BENDGATE" non-issue that becomes way overblown with the Apple Watch, and also all of the "My Watch is shipping!" threads. I also wouldn't be surprised to see some "I didn't get the 42mm Space Gray :apple: Watch Sport that I wanted" threads :p

I'm sure there'll by buyer's remorse threads. "I pre-ordered the classic buckle, but not that I've seen proper reviews I wish I'd ordered the modern buckle".

When we actually have our watches, there'll be "Do you think the 38mm looks too small on my wrist? I wish I'd bought the 42mm."

"It was 1:15am PDT before I got an order in and by then the Sport Space Gray was on JUNE DELIVERIES!":mad::(

Just like my iPhone 6 Plus...

It will be phrased as "Do you think the 38mm makes my wrist look bony, and my knuckles look large?"

----------

I'll be waiting for the dropgate, smashgate, steppedongate threads. You know, the ones claiming damage so extreme that if it had really happened, the wearer's wrist would have gotten broken....

Just over 4 days to go guys. On thursday i will be transferring funds and my finger will be hovering over the order button but at the same time I need to look up and book an in store appointment. I just hope that apple post details soon on the store app

lol I will be responsible for analysis and count the deluge of MR new or old-timers who will be posting that they are not interested. Right. They are not interested a bit ... and yet they are so interested! I am very interested looking at all angles of this fascinating study which will start this Friday. :D

It depends on how much is your time worth. To me - it's worthless, especially family time which is often consumed by me staring at my iPhone.

And BTW, Apple Watch Sport starts at $349 ;)

Yeah the email link I got took me to the $600 watch page... I didn't catch the sport page till later.

So anyway... right now you consume your family time staring at your iPhone and want to pay $349 so you can stare at a watch instead?

That's sad.

I expected the price range to be $349-$399 but given it's Apple it's no surprise it's not.

I just don't think the watch is worth anywhere near $600 for what it will do

So you misread the price and expected it to be $350 (which is it) and bashed it for being $600. Then you realized it cost exactly what you want it to and you're still not happy. Then you bash people for wanting it for their own reasons?

Plenty of other forums or topics you could read and post in without trolling here.

Who said I wasn't happy?

Nobody's trolling here jackass. I only responded to the guy who said he spends all his family time staring at his phone as his reason for spending $350... so he can stare at a watch instead?

I've got a better reason for paying $350 for one... to replace a Fitbit. That's the only reason I have for making the purchase.

Either way, I don't stare at a phone and won't be staring at a watch... and the $350 price is still retarded... just like everything Apple.

I said I expected a $349-$399 price... I never said I thought it was reasonable... because nothing Apple ever is.

;)

You seem very invested in not buying the apple watch. Maybe you should get a try on appointment to determine which of the combinations you hate the most :D

LOL no need to be contrarian just for the sake of being contrarian. It's obvious you're one of those later adopters/poser types, I mean really, you're actually using an Apple router and you blab about it in your signature. Enough said.

If you're really grasping for straws why don't just go all out in facetiousness talk about how you would "never spend xyz $ amount on this watch" or how your ancient horse drawn carriage Rolex is really "the only watch" worth $10k?

And you didn't even know an entry level model Watch existed, let alone the price? Where have you been?

Why not get one? At least its another line you can add to your signature. :apple:

Yep... I blab about my router in my sig... I don't use it because it's an awesome Apple router though. I use it because I wanted 802.11ac and external storage... and I got both with the same product.

I stopped reading after that but I gotta ask... why don't you have a sig? What kind of awesome hardware are you running?

Please share... or $TFU. :apple:

I decided to go back and read the rest of your post.

Where have I been? Not trolling Apple forums. Check my post history... been gone about 2 months.

I only started looking into the watch when I got the pre-order email the other day... so yeah, contrary to popular belief some of us have a life outside of Apple.

I could give a rat's about lines in my sig... but since we are on the topic please post your amazing hardware. Still rocking that 2010 MB Pro and iPhone 4s?

I'm sure you are. :apple::apple:

ok. thread is now officially off topic.

My bad dude.... I wish I was as cool as JP.

He's a cool dude and pre-ordered his Apple watch already so he can get all the hot chicks.

I'm out... LOL

On Friday, I predict threads like:
  • I have my order in and I don't know how I'll wait another week!
  • I really wanted to pre-order a SS Milanese / black sport with black band, but it was sold out by 6 a.m.!
  • Anyone know how many pre-orders they have already?
  • I kept kitting refresh, but it was 5:02 before the pre-order page loaded for me!
  • Poll: which watch did you actually order?

AND don't forget the CRAP I did not hear my alarm or slept in!!

I myself spaced out on the 6+ and forgot to get my order in at 9pm HI time. Got it 5am our time and was delayed 2 weeks. Got lucky. The estimate was 6 weeks most of the time then suddenly went to 'shipped' a month earlier than the original time.

Here are a few things people could be talking about come Friday, April 10.

"YES! MY ORDER IS IN!"
"Why did the website never go live for me?"
"I waited up all night and didn't get a preorder!"
"Why did Apple's servers go down again!?!?!?"
"Apple's servers are still down..."
"My payment got bounced back by my bank"
"I regret ordering the model i ordered"
"I swear I just saw Tim Cook's face fly across the apple.com "We'll Be Back" screen"
"The app worked before the website... as per usual"
"HOLY CRAP! The website worked before the app. I got to use express checkout for once!"
"Why did I preorder again?"
"I'm sleeping at the front door, waiting for the mail man to arrive on April 24"
"I just spent $10,000!"

Those could be some of the topics on April 10th.
