Did you forget your pills this morning? No one on this thread is talking about the iPhone antenna issues as if they are life/death, no one is slamming anyone for wanting to leave the iPhone or stay with it.

Except you.

And if you are happy paying an extra $25+ so that your iPhone works as a phone, more power to you. But before you leap off a building in anger over people discussing the issue (on an Apple-centric message board, no less), perhaps you should at least give everyone else the benefit of making their own decision without being insulted.

Pardon me, your highness...but you need to pull your head out of your butt.

People are filing class action lawsuits over this...Look at the other threads and the time and effort exerted over this issue. I really could care less, I'm just tired of seeing everything blown out of proportion on these threads. I like to use the forum as a resource for info, but once in a while see these threads where everyone is so concerned about what everyone else is doing.

I didn't pay $25 to make it work, I was getting a case regardless, like many other owners. It provides a fix as well as protects the device.

As for being angry or distraught, you've misread my position and interest level.

The glass breaking is a far great issue...one that warrants concern as there is not fix for that.

Lastly, practice what you preach...You decided to insult me for my position. A bit hypocritical, don't ya think?

Ditto. I know I would feel the same either way if I had an issue, return it if you are not happy.

I just don't get people. If you have a product you are not happy with, just return it and move on. There should be no discussion. If the company said a fix is coming and you can wait, so be it, but give it a rest. Geez.

+1 Thanks for underscoring the point made in my earlier post. Some on here just don't get it...

I didn't insult you before but I will now, you mindless insect. You came on a completely innocuous thread—one in which no one (except you) is blowing anything out of proportion—and called everyone stupid. Then you decided to lecture us all on how we should be spending extra money on a case instead of talking about things on a discussion board.

For someone so disinterested in this thread, you sure have thrown a lot of vitriol into your many posts. You've really shown your genius. Now do us all a favor and go play in traffic.

This is a discussion board. It's only function is for people to discuss (mostly) Apple products.

If we ignore the debate regarding whether Apple with address the iPhone 4 reception issue and if we assume for the purposes of this poll that Apple will NOT address the iPhone 4 reception issue anytime soon.... what will you do?

This poll is for current purchasers of iPhone 4s (ordered but not received ok).
Could do a separate poll for non-iPhone 4 owners.

Since I'm not seeing much problem in my area, I'm happy with the IP4. In any case, I'll do what I've done with every other cellphone I've had (including the 3G), which is to accept that it has limitations and work around the limitations as best I can -- until I find something better.

That's the best you can do? You're obviously fairly well-educated (based on your vocabulary and articulation). As for calling me a mindless insect...you're making a stupid assumption. If you think I'm insulted by you, you're giving yourself far too much credit. I guess what you have in book-smarts you lack in common sense.

The only playing in traffic I plan on doing is in my Lamborghini....have a nice life. I sure do!

Oh, god…
If ever a sentence deserved a facepalm, that is it.

Well played.
:D:D

I'll keep it. When talking, I already hold the phone in such a way that I am not affected even though I use my left hand to hold it (I'm right handed) when talking. I do have the problem some when using it and looking at it and playing a couple of games, but it has not been hard to learn to move my fingers slightly.

Should I have to do this, no, but I can live with it, even if they do nothing.

I don't see myself installing bumpers or a case, unless something comes out that looks much better than anything I have seen so far.

Hey a fellow Syracusan.

:)

With the same opinion as me.

I will probably sue apple. But, it's not only because of it's reception issues. IT's much more than that.
First we have customer relations people telling me don't hold it certain way. Second, no one in apple is willing resolve this issue at any costs. They just don't care about it. They even told me that there is no issue, but we are working on it. Apple is just absolutely worst company in terms of customer service.

Apple is a corporation, they all behave like this. People died because of Toyota ignoring problems, so who's worse?

what should be done is people who have issues or aren't happy should return it and show apple that they need to do better next time around

unfortunately that won't happen. everyone will continue to whine about it and not take any action and just take it up the a$$ from apple. and then cry that apple isn't doing anything about it. and why should they when people are willing to settle, you have to give companies incentive to want to do better

fortunately my phone works fine where i live so it isn't a big deal, but i urge those with issues to return the phone, otherwise things really will never change

reception issue? what reception issue? i am a dedicated apple fanboy, and will give steve jobs all of my money and organs if he so desires.

and on a more serious note - i'll be switching to android.

Have fun, and it doesn't make someone a fanboy if they aren't having problems with the phone and actually like it. But way to show your opinion like an immature 12 year old.

Oh and I just switched from Android. Pro Tip: Grass ain't greener.

This says it all....

http://www.macnn.com/articles/10/07/01/based.largely.on.ipad.iphone.4/

This is an article just posted where JP Morgan has targeted AAPL to hit $390 a share based on the "insatiable demand" for the iPad and IP4. This analyst addresses the issues surrounding the IP4 reception. It doesn't matter.

We on here are a grain of sand in the big picture as true Apple-philes and are hypersensitive to what is going on. No one else seems to really care.

I realize it's slightly off-topic, but still interesting given the discussion.

Now if only the white IP4 were available for my wife....

i kin live way it but if it starts tay day ma head i kin git a bumper.. though id ask apple tay gee me yin fur free b4 i boat yin... :)

If I ever finally get my iPhone 4 and it drops calls, I will sue Apple for severe emotional distress. I'll then take my winnings and buy billboards and television ads declaring Steve Jobs and Apple are the most evil, corrupt entities on the planet. I will dedicate my life to making sure Apple and Steve never enjoy any further happiness EVVVARRRRR!

Or, I will just return it and move on with my life.

So why are u responding to this post? This is for people who have reception issues.

Where does it say that? Heck even on the poll it says "Keep the iPhone. What problem? Best phone ever!"

Which I voted for btw

Interesting that so far 70% think there is a problem - that means it needs addressed somehow by apple.

Not disagreeing there is a problem that needs to be addressed, but that 70% number means 70% of the handful of people who bothered to participate in this poll think there is a problem. It does not mean 70% of iPhone 4 owners think there is a problem.
