NO WAY!!!!! I don't even let my kids touch it, and I love them :).

Really? I let my two year old play with my iPhone 3GS all the time, and so does my wife. He has his own 2G iPod touch, though, so he knows how to be careful with it.

friend yes, total stranger to be honest would be closer to f**k off, maybe that's just a London thing though because here that's how a lot of muggings start

what did you say?

Yep ... alot of muggings start that way!!! I remember someone trying to mug me with that line .... but i still got my phone :D

Afew jabs were thrown in both directions though

:apple: KrayzieKray :apple:

If you dont want them to touch your phone simply respond in a different language and stare them dead in the face and make it look awkward.

¿Lo siento qué?

Exactly my response. I actually always use a foreign language if someone I don't want to talk to stops me in the street.

Last time I passed the weird religious guy outside my boyfriend's old flat he went to greet me then actually ended up muttering "oh wait, you don't understand"

I'd tell them to go to the nearest AT&T store or Apple store. Like hell I'd let a stranger hold my belongings.

It would completely be based on context and my gut level of comfort with the situation. I lived in New York for a long time and still trust my gut 100% on the streets or in the trains. In a city I would be very unlikely to flash an iPhone in public anyway. I take along a phone for my second line and use that instead on city street situations.

Okay, you win, but if it was a hot babe, I'd let her look at it. You? :)

If I was a guy, and a hot babe asked, I might say "You can hold it if I can hold your...." ... never mind. ;)

No way would I let a complete stranger hold my phone. Or my purse, or my car keys, or my child...

This just happened to me, sort of. A client (teenager) asked if he could see it/play with it. Response was "Um, NO, Not gonna happen". I might let my mom hold it, or my husband, but that's the limit. No one else!
