I was at the Apple Store yesterday trying one on and they said probably a some will ship this week but most will ship next week. I am 4-24 to 5-8 on my order and I am not expecting my watch to ship this week.

I didn't order one, but I happened to be at the mall of my local Apple Store the day after pre orders went live (didn't even know that they went live - I don't have social media so I normally don't hear about things until 3 months later), and they said the preorders were backed up all the way until September or something like that.

I don't know how accurate that was though

You can't buy an Apple Watch at Apple Stores until June (probably, but definitely not for the next weeks).

the thinking behind it was... Apple will get some return in store (for people who ordered a few models pre-try-on period) as well as Apple probably will have few in case of repairs.

Don't get me wrong, I pre-ordered, but Can't say there's 100% chance store itself won't get any
