I'd go skinny-dipping in it, just like Scrooge McDuck! :D

Amusingly enough, the cashiers from a job I had in the past were nearly sacked for being caught on the security camera throwing all the banknotes in the air and dancing around in it laughing. :D

Buy, a F-14, B-29, B-17, F-22, F-15, a Corvette Z06, a 2009 Chevy Camaro SS, and then donate most of the rest of the dough to charity( of course though I would keep enough so I can maintain my planes :D ).

$3.5 Billion...
It boggles the mind just to think about how much money that is. I (just for fun) was looking at a house north of where I live. It is listed for $2.2 million. You could buy 1591 of those houses (not considering closing costs, taxes, etc.)

Personally, I wouldn't want that much money. I know a guy who won the lottery ($10 million or something like that). It totally destroyed his family and he ended up in bankruptcy. It was amazing how people came out of every nook and cranny asking for money. The sad thing was the family really needed the money to start with.

If I had that money, I would do 2 chicks at the same time man:D

haha, i knew someone else would think of that (Office Space is one of the funniest movies ever) - i was going to write "nothing" in honor of said movie but that would mean me admitting what a lazy little twerp i am... oh wait... oooops :D

i'd sell. then i would do many things with it, most of which would include travel and making the lives of my friends and family a bit more comfortable. i'd save the rest of it and collect the interest, which would be donated to various worthy causes.

oh and you know that feeling you get when you put a square 9 volt battery on your tongue? i'd like to make a potato chip like that. :D :p  :D

Go on permanent vacation to some exotic, far away land. (With broadband internet access)

Set aside 30 million to build a residence, as well as some seasonal vacation spots, plus taxes, maintenance, etc for my lifetime.

Set aside another 15,000,000 for my yearly allowance, for the next 70 years or so.

Distribute 15,000,000 to my immediate family.

Donate 10,000,000 to the local community college I'm currently attending.

Create a 80,000,000 grant/fund to fuel the development, construction and expansion of mass transit systems within North Texas specifically.

Create another 350,000,000 grant to expand said mass transit across Texas.

Let's see...that's 500 million so far. Another 3 billion to go?

Boy, this is hard work!

Not sure what I'd do with it all, but the first thing I'd do would probably be buying a condo in Manhattan. I've wanted to move to NYC for a long time.

I'd buy a medium sized home or condo somewhere. I don't care about the size of the home, but location sure is important.

I'd also give each member of my family (all 6 of them ;) ) $1 million, and probably keep around $500 000 in the bank.

With the rest of my $3.49 billion, I would donate some to charity, and also build low-cost housing in Toronto. I would be the one overseeing everything, and not our government. I'd also have cafes and such set up where poorer people who live in this low-cost housing could work.

With 3.5 Billion I would:

-Pay off next month's credit card bill.
-Buy a cappuccino.

Should just about cover it....

If somehow I got a hold of 3.5 billion dollars right now I would still go to college, and I would still go to the same cheap state school that I am planning on going to. I would take the money and I would split it up over several savings account and I would have my initial checking account with spending cash in it. I would pay for my full tuition as well as getting me a nice on campus apartment. I wouldn't work during college since I wouldn't have to and I would begin at the same time looking and purchasing property, I would want to try and purchase 1,000 acres of land where I would contract the building of a large house and I would have a lot of amateur radio towers and a very nifty radio set-up. I would have a nice office in the house and so I would have everything that I would need to do. Then rather then going and spending all of my money I would donate a chunk of it to the Amateur Radio Relay League and other radio clubs and I would work hard to get amateur radio in schools and such across the country. I would also spend some of the money helping schools and hospitals stay on the cutting edge of technology as much as I possibly could. I wouldn't quit working, certainly because I have an eitre life ahead of me, but I wouldn't charge very much if anything at all to do computer work for schools, hospitals and small businesses.

However, the chances of that happening are 1 in fifty-trillion. So I can just keep dreaming. Or maybe one day I will invent something and get rich or marry me a very rich woman.

I just remembered that some Yale alum donated a crap-ton of money to their music department, so all music majors don't have to pay tuition for quite some time. I'd do that at my school

Donate 90% of it to DNC for 2008 elections through softmoney funds. An ad in every paper, including school newspapers. TV ads being thrown at people 24/7.

I'd set aside $200-300 Million and start a small company which would have no other purpose than to divide up the interest amongst friends and family as a yearly salary, and of course provide health insurance to those "employed."

the remaining $3.2 Billion would be given to various charities and research and I'd devote some of my time to making sure that it is spent wisely. When not on vacation of course....

Personally...
1. Buy Fire Truck
2. Drive said Fire Truck around places
3. Buy Ford GT
4. Buy maxed out PowerMac (MacMac) and MacBook (pro) and get my damn iMac delivered before the 2nd Feb!
5. Contract Jonathon Ives for development/creation of iTablet
6. Buy Time Machine
7. Use said time machine to travel back to 2000
8. Whilst in the year 2000 buy LOTS of Apple Stock
9. Use my now [2005] $20Bn (approx) to invest, spend on charities
10. New York Penthouse, Edinburgh Penthouse, Sydney Penthouse...Actually...I'd buy New York, Edinburgh and Sydney. Outright. Bang.
11. Buy a fussball table
12. Rennovate my school - Replacing all (and I mean ALL) of the computers in said school with maxed out macs.

Get something better than a GT, "foosball", you couldn't afford NYC.

What would I do?

I'd buy a Triumph Spitfire (not the horrendous Mk7, or whatever it was, the jagged lines one), upgrade everything whilst trying to keep its originality so it won't fall apart. Sell my Powerbook and get a Quad G5 PowerMac and an iBook. Build a nice small, cosy but high tech house - wireless streaming speakers in every room, an entire wired network (for the speed over 802.11) that sorta stuff.

and live comfortably for the rest of my life. I'd probably only end up spending £1 million tops. Not really a spending person. just enough to be happy :) oh and a nice fair sized yacht. so make that £2 million.

Whatever I'd spend on my self I'd pay the same to charity. no way in hell I'd get through 1.9 billion (UK conversion).

THe only 'outlandish" purchase I can think of is buying an island somewhere out in the South Pacific. Somewhere nowhere near the island from Lost though!

I would keep another 10-15 mil, then send the rest to places like the EFF, Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, and such. I'm not into cars, boats, really big houses etc. I would, however, have a great home theater set up. :p
