The main bugs I've found are in the Photo app. Signal is great for me, so no problems there...proximity sensor might be a little off, but I haven't run into any problems with it yet, I don't think.

WHen I use my apple headphones on a call, and hold the button to hang up...once I turn the iphone out of sleep, the call still appears active, minus the call information. End button still there, etc.

pressing the lock button while on a call hangs it up...never happened before iOS4

Yes it did. At least it always did for me. The only time the lock button wouldn't end your call was if you were on speaker.

And the only thing I really want fixed is the proximity sensor issue. Which of course may be a hardware issue, but today I was talking on the phone and it turned speaker on and went into my contacts. Not cool.

there is a jailbreak app that allows you to reply to a text without closing what your doing and going to the messages app, I thinks its called qwickreply. This is the only reason I will continue to jailbreak my phones it is the only thing I used on my jailbreak phone that is not native now. I would also like native printing from IOS4 this seems logical seeing as how airport extreme acts as a print server, and they are working on iworks for iphone.

I would be happy to be able use it as a phone. You know, the simple things like talking with out dropped calls or automatically turning the speakerphone on.

Also, when i tap 'Messages' to go back to other texts, it scrolls up to the top of the page >_<

& Yes i know if you tap the middle top of the screen it will do that. But not at the side by messages!

AHHH someone else finally noticed the SMS scroll bug...and also if you attempt to delete the message app from the multitasking dock the phone will freeze....

Man I'm glad I'm not the only one with the texting issues.. I thought I was going crazy! Has anyone ever noticed the bottom of the text message display being cut off (you can slide up to see the full message, but it bounces back below the bottom of the screen)?

I get this too! (using Jawbone Prime and iPhone itself)

Sorry, no sympathy for you. Have to try a little harder than that to disparage the iPhone.

I've had a few but they seem to have mysteriously gone away. Usually simply by closing the offending app in the multitasking dock.

One thing I'd like to see is an on/off switch for multitasking. I honestly don't see how it benefits me, and I don't like wondering what might be running needlessly, draining my battery.

You are right: turning off the screen while on a call did not hang up the phone in pre-OS 4 versions. If it does this in OS 4, that is certainly a bug. In general, I think that the OS 4.0.0 release was filled with bugs and gotchas; it was clearly rushed from Beta 1 to RTM at a frantic pace. The RTM of 4.0 reminds me of the original OS 2.0.0 release--a mad dash to make the June hardware release date.

Not only did this pace leave the OS itself with an assload of bugs, it left 3rd-party developers ill-prepared to adapt their software to the new version.

I'd like to see these trolls go away after the firmware update fixes their issues. Then again, they're trolls, so they'll usually find something else to whine about.

What bugs are people experiencing in the Photo app? I actually encountered just one the other day - a bunch of 0-length movie files with black thumbnails that I couldn't delete until I force-closed and reopened the app.

1. I'd like a little more realtime FaceTime availability status. I let it ring for two minutes on FaceTime to my wife before I called her back via voice and she was nowhere near a Wi-Fi access point. Surely, their servers or the iOS would have been able to come back much more quickly, saying she was not available, instead of me wondering when she'll pick up the phone.

2. FaceTime shortcuts should be allowed as a Favorite in the Phone application. They're already in Recents, you can make workarounds by creating Web Clips to facetime://########## using the iPhone Configuration Utility (though it quickly opens Safari and you get prompted with their number to confirm calling), but they should make it more quick to use.

3. iPhone Feedback should be available from the iPhone itself as a pre-configured form under Settings > About. Most of us spend a lot of time on these forums, bitching about issues, but how many actually get back to Apple? Discovered bugs, enhancement requests, various suggestions should be easily sent back to Apple without having to fire up Google, searching for the exact page on Apple's site (which happens to be http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html), then going about entering your issue. Instead, right from the iPhone, along with your query or issue, it can send your iTunes ID, device ID, and diagnostic information, sync history, etc.

I would really just like to see an update to fix the White Balance in photo/video. It's not great right now, and was much better on the 3G and 3GS.

Sometimes my iP4 will vibrate when an email comes in, even if the phone is set to silent. I'm a light sleeper and this wakes me up. Note, it doesn't happen all the time, just now and again.

This wasn't the behavior on my 3GS. There, if the switch was set to silent then that thing would be silent and no vibration either, save the alarm, which is perfect.

It would also ensure Apple that they're getting feedback from someone who actually owns and uses the phone.

Good idea!

Make the Notes app display same as an email, ie plain text on a white background.

The present yellow lined notebook and "handwriting" font is childish and difficult to read.

My biggest gripe right now is my phone quits talking to my router at home. Doesn't drop back to 3G, just get stuck in between leaving me with no internet access until I turn wi-fi off and back on. I already replaced the phone and that didn't help. Yet we have 6-7 other wi-fi devices that work perfectly. I've not seen this one reported here, but I'm not the only one with the problem.

The photo album bug.

Found a new one last night. All of a sudden my phone was running really, really slow. Something was obviously chewing up the CPU cycles in the background. Finally had to do a reboot. Then it's happened twice since then.

I'd really, REALLY like the first one fixed ASAP. It's killing me. The other bugs I can deal with for now.
