Still running a 2007 Santa Rosa MBP.

It's been through 2 hard drive upgrades, 2 battery replacements, a logic board replacement, superdrive replacement, and a screen replacement.

But it's in flawless physical condition and runs fantastic.

The screen replacement was 1 month after my Applecare expired but Apple agreed that I shouldn't have to pay 70% the cost of a new computer to replace the screen on a machine that suffers from the dreaded 8600 graphics card curse and might not last much longer. Since my warranty had just expired and my computer had not really lived up to it's professional name with all the repairs it needed, they did it on their dime.

Nice, my mom and brother have my old 2007 and it still runs great, upgraded ram is the only thing I changed. I went through 3 mag safe chargers though.

Still running my 2006 15" MacBook Pro.

Upgraded to 3GB of ram, 500GB 7200 rpm hard drive, 160GB Intel SSD and a 1920x1200 lcd panel from an Alienware machine. On my 3rd battery. A couple of scratches but otherwise a 9/10 condition. If the machine could take 8GB of ram then I would keep it for a couple more years.

I'm itchin to upgrade, but I can't decide between a new MacBook Air (not to mention the 11" vs 13" debate) and another 15" MacBook Pro.

I'm intrigued by the results of this poll so far. For the 2010 and 2011 users, what swayed you to getting your MBP? The adoption rate is fascinating. I think that's the real story that I'd like to see some more discussion on. I currently don't have a Mac ( have an iPhone 4 and iPad 2). I am likely going to wait until the next generation comes out (hopefully late 2011/early 2012).
