I myself prefer white. Even though I have a black 3G, I hate how scratched up it can get even after a few months use. The white on the other hand, still scratches (thanks to Apple's horrible choice of material) but isn't visible almost at all. Once I upgrade to whatever the next iPhone will be (as I'm able to upgrade in August 2010! ) it'll totally be white.

Switched from white to black.

I got a white 16GB 3G last year so I ordered a 32GB black 3GS this year. THey both look great, but since I'm getting a new iPhone I want it to look different.

I got the inCase Slider today to put it in tomorrow!

I have a white 3G now, but will be getting a black 32GB to change it up. I love the white, but hate the cracking that appears! I also want it to feel more like a new phone, and a color change should help to do that! I will be buying the Griffin Reveal to put it in.
