FYI: Some of you in this thread are referring to the Power Support film as the crystal film when in fact there are 2 versions:

1-Crystal
2-Anti-glare

On the previous page at least 2 posters called the film crystal but described it with comments such as the following; reduces fingerprints, not a glossy finish. These comments describe the anti glare film.

HTH

im still at a loss on what to use lol. I ordered an invisible shield, but i heard it makes ur phone look like it has lines on it.

Personally I like the Power Support crystal better because the screen looks every bit as beautiful as it did without it on. Some people say the anti-glare is a good compromise because it eliminates fingerprints pretty much completely. While this is true, I cannot get used to the look that it gives the screen, definitely not as sharp as the crystal. In both cases these are the easiest to apply protectors I have ever used (admitedly I never tried the wet application type such as invisibleSHIELD or Bodyguardz). Of course you have to battle the usual dust and other bits of who knows what that seem to float in there, but as far as bubble free application goes these are a piece of cake.

i have a brand new invisible shield kit for sale if anyone is interested. This is for the iPhone 3g.

$23 shipped with paypal payment and usps priority shipping.

I'm only selling to usa buyers only. Please PM me if interested.

Ghost-armor hands down looks and protects the best. It has a very smooth appearance and feel. It is also cut very precisely to fit the phone. Great warranty as well.

you wouldnt happen to be affiliated with them in any way?

Yep, you guessed it. I own stock in it. No, I just have seen other products and in my opinion it is a superior product. How esle did you want me to phrase my opinion?

I have the Bodyguardz and would recommend it. Install is easy and the visibility is still top notch. Texture is still smooth and it doesn't have the 'orange-peel' look that the Invisible Shield has (from pictures I have seen so far).

Has anyone removed Bodyguardz or similar products after a while? Is it easy to remove and does it leave any "sticky" residue like glue or something that's hard to get rid of?

Thanks!

I went with the DLO Jam jacket for both my original iPhone and new 3G's!

They come with 3 screen protectors, and the screen looks absolutely perfect...

Just make sure that you center the protector nicely, and your all set!

Good luck.

The Anti-Glare is the only way to go. Unless you like fingerprints smothered all over the screen. I tried the regular crystal and the smudges were no less than not having any protection whatsoever. Once I tried the Anti-Glare, smudges were reduced by about 75%.

While this is 100% true, visibility and screen clarity is reduced by 75% as well. I am not kidding I thought the anti-glare image quality was absolutely awful.

Any reason for a screen protector? I really don't notice the fingerprints unless I'm in direct sunlight, and a quick wipe fixes it. Is it fear of scratches? Because I've also heard...

On a related note, I got a screen protector with a 3G case from Marware and it didn't even fit properly. The cutouts for the sensors and earpiece were all measured wrong.

Im not sure if I qualify, but I did remove some film after it dried for a couple hours because I didn't like how it came out (installation error). Anyways, removing the film is pretty easy, just lift and pull...maybe spray some solution/water to remove faster/smoother. It comes off perfect and does not leave any residue or take any of the engraving off from the back.

Hope this helps a little bit, if any

that's quite untrue. I installed the anti-glare yesterday and I could not be more pleased.

It's the best $15 i spent on the iphone so far.

Screen clarity reduce maybe a notch, but nothing dramatic.

I use a 12" piece of concrete to protect the screen on my iPhone. Its great. Nothing can scratch the phone and its not too intrusive in my pocket. What's also great is being at the club and seeing all the ladies checking out my iphone. I tell them ...that's not the only thing with protection.

Do they say "is that an iPhone with a 12 inch piece of concrete attached or are you just happy to see me?"

(sorry about the thread revive, I couldn't resist)

PowerSupport Crystal Film Set is the absolute BEST I've used. No bubbles, no rainbow coating, no bumps, no sparkle effect... it's completely invisible. You can't even tell it's on!

I had an IS, but I had to exchange my phone and took it off when I did that. It offered outstanding protection, but I didn't really like it. The texture was really terrible, especially if there was any kind of glare (like outside), and a whole lot of dirt and dust had accumulated around the edges. Pretty gross.

I bought the DLO antiglare 5 pack yesterday, and so far I really like these. The anti-glare adds a little "graininess" to the screen, but nothing too big. Other than that they're great. Not the same level of protection as the IS, but they fit perfectly with no glare, and no fingerprints or oils.

Those are the only two screen protectors I've tried.

Power Support Crystal Film is what i use in conjunction with my Griffin Nu Form case. its like glass and you dont have to worry if you dont stick it on right the first time since is static cling instead of a glue! installation was a breeze and any bubbles were super easy to push out.
