Wish they would fix autocorrect. It seems to have gotten worse.

After yesterday's presentation (during the Video editing App demo), when autocorrect changed "Utah" to "It's", I think heads will be rolling in Apple's software keyboard department.

Couldn't agree more. Autocorrect in iOS8 and Yosemite SUCKS ASS.

What About Phone Calls?

I don't know if this was possible in 8.0-8.0.2, but what about phone calls? Can you call from your Mac or iPad if it's on the same wifi as your phone?

I wish they would have added the instant hotspot for the iPad too. I didn't get an LTE iPad because I always have my phone anyways, it would have been nice to simplify the process (but then the sales of LTE models would go down)

They really need to place a disclaimer in these articles that none of these hand off features will work if your mac is 3 or more years older.

Anyone know if instant hotspot works with an iPad?

I'm about ready for a new ipad. It would be nice to save some cash and get the wifi version.

Has anyone head if an iPad would use instant hotspot with your phone, or just Macs?

With iCloud Photo Library, photos are kept in the cloud with a smaller version available on iOS devices, taking up less storage space.

...so the edits we make with all of the photo apps on our devices will be with a smaller, compressed "iOS version" of the picture? I don't like this. I bought the 128gb iPhone for a reason. I just hope there's a way to turn that feature off...

Every article I've read about this has explicitly stated so. If the MR's article doesn't, it really is not that much of a surprise.

"While some major Continuity features like Handoff and Phone calls on the Mac are working for users who have both an iOS 8 device and a Mac running OS X Yosemite"

No, they're not. Well, Handoff isn't.

Fill your library, not your device.
Now you can spend more time shooting pictures and less time managing them. iCloud Photo Library helps you make the most of the space available on your iOS device by automatically storing the original high-resolution photos and videos in iCloud and leaving behind the lightweight version that are perfectly sized for each device. You get 5GB of iCloud storage free, and other storage plans start at $0.99 per month.

I'll admit, it's a fine idea...but it really should be optional.

Handoff works for me.

Handoff works for me.

It just doesn't seem to want to play ball with me... I've got a late 2013 iMac and an iPhone 6 Plus, both with latest OS... I've followed all the instructions (not that there is many) and rebooted both devices but it's still not working. Very odd.

I can't say for certain, but I'm pretty sure it does? Swore I saw my iPad show my iPhone as a hotspot automatically the other day in the wifi list.

I'm glad Apple delayed these features if they weren't ready yet. I have been running Yosemite preview and it all worked fine for me, but there must of been a problem I haven't seen.

I went directly to the source to read about Handoff. I had to hunt and peck to find system requirements. It isn't a surprise but some will not be happy when they try and it does not work.

Instant Hotspot works fine for me on 8.0. What am I missing?

What's really weird is I thought I saw it before, but now I can't figure out how to make it show again. Both my iPad Mini Retina and iPhone 6 Plus are on the same iCloud account, both have bluetooth turned on. I'm not sure if it was back when I had the iOS 8 beta on my iPhone 5, but I only had that for a few weeks and never on my iPad. I thought I was going crazy and then I saw this article saying it was coming soon and was very confused.

Handoff not working

for me. Have a 2012 Retina MBP with Yosemite, and 8.0.2 on my iPhone 6 and iPad Air. Am I missing something?

Same question here. I'd hope so. I suppose we'll see on Monday.

I wonder what will be taken out to make room for the camera roll? Recently added? Or will camera roll just be another album added to what's already there? Can't wait to find out. Besides Apple Pay, it's what I'm most interested in.

I'm also confused, I just tried instant hotspot from yosemite to my phone to be sure and it already works?

Only thing it won't let me do is instant hotspot when "personal hotspot" is turned to "off" on my phone. In the betas, the mac/ipad could force the phone to turn the personal hotspot on.

Please fix the landscape view of the music app!

Like a couple of others said, I hope Apple finally fixes the landscape view of the music app. I don't much care for the artwork mosaic since I have hundreds of albums and sometimes hard to find the one I want. But the biggest issue is that if you are shuffling between songs on different albums, the view won't show what's currently playing.

If anyone knows of a workaround, I'm all ears! But I've searched and haven't found anything yet.

With the 6+ and the new landscape UI views, I was really hoping this would be fixed so I could use my Kenu vent clip and have my phone in landscape which will prevent my phone from covering a good chunk of my dash and I prefer to use GPS in landscape.

Seriously, just fix the stupid orientation bug. It's super annoying that my iPhone doesn't know which way is up and screwing up 60% of all my photos.

Heck, in the early versions of Yosemite, anything with bluetooth 4.0 (0x6) could use handoff. This meant 2011+ Mac Mini, 2011+ MacBook Air, 2012+ iMac, and 2012+ Macbook Pro. It just needs the low power bluetooth hardware, which these have.
It was working great, and googling now will show this is what is needed throughout the beta.

Now for release Apple decided it has to be 2012 or newer. Yes, despite both the 2011 mini and air having the necessary hardware to do it, Apple is not supporting hand off on these machines. I have not found a reason for this other than an obvious ploy at forcing an upgrade. I understand it is less of a mouthful to simply say 2012 or newer, but that's just so wrong. Really disappointed.
