I think I will make a nice stir fry with egg plant with lots of pea pods, bell peppers, carrots, some cabbage, and a couple chillies. Cover that in a nice crushed peanut coconut milk sauce with some crushed up dried chillies, fresh basil, black sesame seeds, and a hint of clove (very little clove). Then a side of brown rice.

Damn, Sunday = no sake. I hate living in a dry state.

Currently... Flan. I just ate some red rice. Yum.

Cup of veggie chili and a baked potato to eat, and lemonade to drink. ;)

This thread is making my mouth water. Normally, I'm the chef/cook at home and I love cooking nice meals, served with Italian red wine for preference. (Home made pasta, with homemade blue cheese sauce - melt some blue cheese, say gorgonzola, and add double cream to it when it's melted, then heat through, - and tossed greens is a simple favourite, as are potatoes par-boiled, then drizzled with olive oil, and roasted in a hot 200 + celsius oven with crushed garlic cloves, thyme and rosemary - that goes with everything; I cook curries, stir-fries, seared steaks, deep savoury stews cooked at low heat for five to eight hours, and many, many different pasta dishes......)

At present, I am far from north west Europe, and cooking is commercial catering (which is bland and tasteless), rather than something I do myself (not my choice.) Just now, I'd almost kill for a decent cheeseboard; yes, we have wine and beer, but food really makes a country, too. Good thread JP.
Cheers

Thanks. Not often people will complement me for a thread I make. Look at some of my past threads (especially the one that got locked) and you might see why.

Tonight, I had spaghetti. Bleh. Though the garlic bread was good.

Tuna Bar-B-Que

Favorite BBQ sauce, add and sauté onions and garlic, then add sauce. After heating for 15 min, add a can of drained, water based solid white Tuna. Simmer for 10 min and then make sandwiches. Taste like chopped chicken.

I think I'll have to try that. Thanks, sounds good.
