Apple has still not fixed the problem where you can't drag an app from a folder in the dock to multi task

I'd prefer 24 volume increments. Not trying to be picky, but in practical use I feel like 16 isn't enough and 34 was too many.

Can't believe we've reached the point where people complain about the number of increments for a volume adjustment.

Able to drag them just fine. Did you try submitting a bug report?

The folder transparency looks like a bug....Some apps are in a folder and some look like they’re floating depending on the wallpaper.... Kind of fugly tbh. I would have preferred more transparency but not to this extreme.

Wahoo. !!

I'm not sure anyone would have complained if they just kept it 16 in the first place... Ignorance is bliss! :D

Count me as one. :D When going to sleep and listening to somethig, I want to find the perfect volume (on the edge of being able to hear) and the usual (16?) increments often just aren’t precise enough for me. Don’t think I’ve ever complained about this, but this definitely is a recurring nuisance for me.

Note that this beta will introduce another iCloud Drive problem (while solving the previous ones):

That was so irritating.
It would be nice to have it both ways, like on the Mac how you can Shift+Option+Volume Up/Down and get a much more fine granularity of volume.

Like if you 3D Touch the volume in the control center you could use have the 32 increments, but normally have the 16. While testing this, on beta 6, you can't use the volume buttons at all with the 3D touched, volume indicator up, probably a bug?

Never had a folder in the dock. Just tried it now on my iPad. I see your issue. Did this work in iOS 12?

What kind of boneheadedness is it to remove contrast on the folders? I bet it sure looked great on the developers monitor though.
Is there any control over this in Settings? (Waiting for the next public beta before I can play with it!)

So is the Siri announcing messages on AirPods going to be the thing that gets punted until iOS 13.1 or 13.2 this year? Hope not, because aside from Dark Mode, it was one of the things I was looking forward to most on my iPhone because I use my AirPods all the time.

I think for the folders they should just get rid of the backgrounds altogether and push the icons to the edges and make them a little bigger at the same time. You can still tell they are a group and they have a label. Perhaps to make it even more obvious they could add a little folder glyph next to the label.

That's too bad about the additional volume levels. 34 was way too many and annoying, but I think somewhere in the middle like 24 would be nice, or even just tapering the bottom end so it ramps up more gradually. Either way I think it should be a preference in the sound settings and default to 16 so people aren't annoyed or confused. The fine grain control allowed me to play a quick video when in bed (didn't have my AirPods nearby) without waking up my wife, but I could still hear it barely, without having to fiddle with the volume control getting it just to barely move from 0 using my finger.

Link preview is the biggest trash feature. Implemented it, people hated it, implemented ability to switch off, now they even added a button?! Just remove it already...
They keep adding buttons, switches, options ...

For every person that will complain about the lack of contrast, there is another who will complain when the contrast is added again.

That’s why they should give people choices and have a user setting to change it the way each person likes.

The feature was very buggy, as it would interrupt currently playing audio, without letting it resume after announcing incoming message.

It probably is being punted. Apple still has a lot of work to do. iOS 12 had 12 betas and I suspect Apple will increase the frequency of iOS 13 betas as they tighten stability.

3-D touch is going, going, gone.

Am I the only one who preferred the 34 volume slider to the 16? It was much more fluid. *shrug*

It would be nice if the three finger tap changed to black or grey when in dark mode. Looks out of place being white imo.

I really liked the 32 volume levels

Same! Less drastic of a change while holding down the volume buttons and was much more fluid of an increment. I guess too many people complained about the better design, so Apple went back to the poorer decision, oh well.

Oh god they are really committed to this new app updating process. I had hopes they would change it eventually, not it seems all hope is lost.

It makes no sense to bury updates in “account” - not intuitive at all to think to look there. Such strange design.

I think the goal is have the operating system automatically update the apps. So people don’t have to waste time updating them.

That’s a bad decision because sometimes an app updates to a feature or user interface design that I don’t like and I won’t update it for a while until it’s reverted or changed again etc. I don’t just automatically update all apps just because there *is* an update. I’ve always liked to preview the changelog first.
