I can’t believe you have to sync your verdicke to get charge stops. Why?
And BMW and Ford only? Do they even offer EVs?

BMW i8 and i3 have both been around for more than 3yrs.
Ford - I only know of the upcoming Mustang Mach E (?) I think it's called. Judging by the latest YouTube commercial with Ken Block, this Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400 is sick! Porsche may have been first with a prototype electric car back in 1912 showing luxury with electric power, and Tesla may have revolutionized the industry at the perfect time, but Ford is changing petrol-head mindsets that more than screeching tires can be done: drifting, hoonaning, and all kinds of classic fun with cars of petrol. Tesla is going to be facing great competition very soon (China already) and with Tesla's dated design and too repeated components it's going to drop in popularity very soon (4yrs my guess). The Roadster 2 next year will stave that off heavily but it's no longer going to be the king of electric car hill - straight line performance numbers and distance is not the only way to drive a car ;)

back on topic ...

I've always loved the Apple Maps design UI as it's cleaner than Google Maps and others I've seen; almost Nokia Maps like from their S60 heyday. I use GMaps only due to street view (before I travel on route), and for a few streets here in Ontario that Apple Maps doesn't yet have - mostly due to new condo construction blocks that creates new lanes (quite a few in Mississauga near SQ1).

Regarding speed cameras and red-light cameras, how often is this updated?
What would be nice is if end users could upload new dirt bike or other bike paths to Apple Maps for consideration and use by others. That would be a GREAT way for end users to earn $ from Apple or even credit on their ApplePay Card (if they bring the Canadian's and other country citizens). A perfect way for an end user to limit a specific personal data that THEY choose to upload to a corporation for funds and choosing a time limit (1 time, or for the week, for specific route, and ONLY that particular data)! That's the future of personal data commerce!!

Honest question: Is Apple Maps really worth switching to from Google Maps? I have been burned by Apple Maps in the beginning and just never went back...

I really just wish they had a way to show how busy a location was. That's the main thing that makes me use google maps. It's not 100% accurate but its accurate enough to quickly see when the busy times are and greatly influences my visits.
I agree that it's useful, and Apple could easily do this. They'd just have to decide to constantly scavenge your precise location at all times and use it to inform other users.

No thanks. Not even in aggregate.

The required sync with an EV is unfortunate. Doesn’t BMW only offer the i3 in the USA? Lots of Tesla owners being left out.
Tesla is largely to blame there. They have gone proprietary all-around (right down to their charging ports) and have expressed no intention of integration with other systems that I have seen.

It is a pity that the algorithm calculates car routes in a mysterious way. I have the impression that for the alleged minute of savings he can divert to the side roads. Unfortunately, on these roads, driving may be slower not due to heavy traffic, but due to the very poor road quality (damage to the surface) .....
