Watched the 1st episode of "Altered Carbon" on Netflix, last night. Really good hard SF. Great cinematics, FX and acting. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Did you ever watch "Life On mars"? I thought it excellent and also led the sequel "Ashes to Ashes" although I missed most of the second and third series of the latter, as I was abroad for most of the time it was on.
I missed them and have been meaning to go back on catch up. I have a long list of things I don't get round to watching. I usually let Mrs AFB decide and if I'm not interested go on my iPhone.

We saw one recently that was a prequel to some current Police show. The main detective was just starting out in the 70's as a recruit. Can't recall the name of either show though! BBC I think.

Well, Endeavour - set in the 60s - is a prequel to Inspector Morse (Endeavour is the young Morse), while Lewis, is, of course, the sequel to Morse.

Watching The Good Place Season 1 on Netflix, a 2016 sitcom from NBC, an interesting farcical story about a woman who finds herself in heaven by mistake and a somewhat inept manager of the place. Not sold on it yet. Season 2 is scheduled to premier in Sept.

Fantastic show, certainly the best show on network television. Season 2 was even better!

Funny, creative, in a totally different league vs. most of the brain-dead programming passing itself off as comedy.

I like that show, too. I'm picky when it comes to TV shows. I find most cult followed stuff dreadful. Veep, Breaking Bad, 30 Rock, that NASA show, just awful. Comedy is very subjective, but so much of today's comedy sucks.

Don't even get me started on all the medical dramas on TV. Always the same concept, cliche episode themes, cliche lines and zingers.

Super Bowl Lll... Good game so far. Neither team is my favorite, but I am rooting for someone. 🙂

I never watched it, but Breaking Bad was a comedy?
