here's mine (finally found the thread).

from left to right (not right to left ;)), this is the usual.

caffeine, bluetooth, airport, sound, battery and time remaining on the battery, and time on the 24 hour clock, and of course, spotlight.

Here's mine on my iMac...my MBP is similar but has an extra thing for monitoring the battery.

Adium, Shimo, QuickSilver, Sync conflict (can't get it to go away), Spaces, iStat menus (network up/down, hard drive activity, memory usage, CPU usage x2), and then MagiCal for date/time display.

here's my leopard menu bar. i love how the menu bar blends into watever desktop picture you place under it, making you concentrate more your work in the active window.

Adium, Remote Buddy, iStat Menu, .Mac sync, Spaces, Displays, Bluetooth, Wifi, Battery, MenuCalendarClock (I disabled the system's clock), and finally Spotlight.

Hello,

I would realy like to change the items at my menubar. maybe i`m to stupid, but i don`t find any possibility how to change the menubar. do i have to change any files at the libary? especially the ".mac" sysmbol annoys me.

press apple+ drag the icon out of the dock, alot of apple menubar icons you can move away with help of the preferences.
 
I like to keep my menubar nice and clean. That menubar gets crowded really fast on a MacBook if you add many more icons.
