Back at iPhone and Mac repair? 🙌

That’s the way to go! Would you also help fix others iPhones and macs again if they’d damaged them?
Yeah definitely. I am actually in talks with an Apple Authorized Repair center here on the island. They're looking for someone super part time to handle Apple repairs, lots of warranty work and I told them I'd love to after October. We're in the middle of a penetration test at work right now so my time is limited but after, I'd be free and love to work there on weekends. I quit my automotive job after four months. Too hard on my body and was hard to work two jobs 7 days a week.

what happened to your cybersecurity job w/ the government? Or is that a side/freelance gig?

How many of you guys drink coffee? I have never, ever drank coffee, but I may be tempted to because I have been struggling to stay alert during these extremely long days. I think part of it could also be how close together I eat lunch and dinner. They're 3 hours apart at most, because that's the only time I can eat that works with my schedule. Lunch at 1:00 and dinner at 4:00.

I drink a lot of coffee. It is a great beverage cold or hot and I have done so for decades. With that being said, anymore it doesn't really do too much for me in terms of alertness and focus. For a nice boost in energy and focus, I will suck down an energy drink. I usually keep one or two in the fridge. My current favs are the ZOA brand grape/berry and Alani Nu orange cream float - low calorie, high energy and clear focus without jitters for me. Anyways, those keep me feeling pretty normal and ready to crush whatever needs some smashing. I'll drink one and get moving and then drink coffee all day or until my coffee carafe runs out.

I try not to forget to drink water ;)

Yep still doing that Monday-Friday, 8-5. Apple repair would just be on weekends and occasional mondays ( I have every other Monday off due to flex days)
Nice! Don’t let that Apple certification go to waste! Make the most of it!

You’re back at an AASP, right? Now, you’ll put your hard work to good use, treating iPhones with cracked back glass, boot loops that can’t even boot up without recovery mode, camera failures, and many other issues. And you’ll put them back in working order!

I’ll always count on you if I have any questions about iPhone battery life concerns or any other hardware and software issues. I also have a friend who was a former Apple employee after serving in the marines. I iMessage him a few times for insider information about Apple and to get more in depth information about iPhone and iPad issues. He’s a school friend of mine. He took over my engineering club at my community college when I transferred to my dream university as vice president of the club. With his experience assembling Apple silicon chips and majoring in business after his time at Apple, he incorporated iPhone, iPad, and Mac repairs into my engineering club’s services and business plans. I’m really happy that my club is in good hands and has a better legacy.

I'm a regular at the coffee thread, and have a cup or two every day in the morning. Those mealtimes seem a bit close but it depends on what one eats and how much. I suppose like a lot of college students you sleep late? Plus of course playing music.

I’m not a coffee fan. I will have it sometimes if I go out for breakfast or brunch with someone, but I don’t drink it regularly. I have tea almost every day, often matcha, but the amount of caffeine is much lower so it just doesn’t have the same impact (which, for me, is a good thing).

I do NOT sleep late, I wake up at 7:00AM every day. My days usually run from about 8:00AM to 10:00PM, though sometimes later. My first class on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays isn't until 11:10, but I use 8:00-10:00 to either practice, or finish any outstanding work due for my 11:10 class or my 1:50 class. Tuesdays and Thursdays I only have one class, 2:35-4:20. But in the morning I'm practicing or working on stuff.

Of course this excludes ensembles, and I'm in three of those for a total of 7 rehearsals a week in addition to regular classes. Being in both the College and the Con is a LOT. But I love it.

The only thing I drink is water. Usually between four and five 48 ounce bottles a day. But that has proven to not help me stay awake when I need to.
