Sounds nice. I’m imagining something nice to eat and drink.

Although chilled water seems to be my drink of choice right now. Too hot for tea even.
Tomorrow is due to be hotter. I’ll be making a raspberry jelly in the morning.

For some reason it seems cooler in the evenings than it was back in June? Down to 17-19ºC overnight.

Regularly 105-110 degrees Fahrenheit (40-43 Celsius) here. Plus wildfires. Too hot to do anything outside, can't even stand out there for more than 5 minutes without getting a headache. Saw the temperature at 109 the other day.

crazy; not even hot here in Saskatchewan; had to turn the heat on the other morning; I wonder if smoke is blocking the UV/sun and keeping things cool here? smoky overcast clouds & sun but no smoke smell or heat;
last night the sun setting was just a huge red circle

I’m not sure right now whether this originated with them or was a very clever idea from abroad. There is a wonderful concept of training civilians as first responders who, among other things, are able to operate a defibrillator. I believe it was in Sweden. In any case, people there are very well connected with one another, and the nearest responder is quickly notified when an emergency arises.

anyone know if there's a place to trade in this "old" iMac 2017 & a bunch of other stuff I got from my neighbour? I'd love to surprise my mom with a new Mac for her birthday since this iMac is now stuck using Ventura;
our neighbours retired & gave me tons of old Apple stuff that is just taking up room, and this iMac is still like new but ancient at 10 years old LOL

That is terrible, of course! Hopefully, you can get the situation under control. Our beautiful Rhine is already split in two; shipping between Mainz and Koblenz is no longer possible. There is a massive lack of water here in Europe, just as there is elsewhere.

Yes, I believe that’s called a volcanic winter. I think it was NASA that said the planet is getting warmer because the atmosphere is too clean. It will get cold again during the next solar eclipse, too. Back in 1999, I believe the temperature dropped by a full 8 degrees Celsius.

20ºc here now when it is usually 25ºc+
...but we JUST had winter from November until April!
I hate winter haha it is toooooo long!
