What on Earth does that mean?

I have no idea either.

Well, let's see, a search on Google:

I get these two hits ...

... and a couple of results down:

Clicking through shows this (just using the second result):

So I'm assuming the user posted something, then decided not to and since there's not an outright "delete post" function, replaced the original content with the short hand for DELETED :D

Well, I had read some of his previous posts, and assumed therefore that it was an incompetent rendition of the other, well known abbreviation, of "tl dr".

To be honest, as I dislike abbreviations used online (an excuse for lazy and illiterate posting, at times), and viewed some of the posts of the poster in question as meriting less than a serous interrogation, I was not about to waste my time consulting Google.

Besides, one word (or one abbreviation) posts are bad form, to my mind.

I have no idea either.

Well, it is not one I had ever come across.

Shortcut way of saying "deleted"???

Thank you; that makes sense.

I'm pleased to see that my guess was correct! I didn't Google or anything, just knew that often members who cannot delete their own posts will erase whatever they'd written and then rather than leaving a blank, empty post, will write "delete" or "deleted," some such..... and in looking at what was presented, I mentally slotted in some "e's" and bingo! Made sense to me..... :)

Your obviously sharper than me! Obvious now you say it, but my mind drew a blank.

Excellent guess, (a well educated guess), but my query is why not go to the trouble of writing out the whole word "deleted" rather than an abbreviated version that is a lot less well known?

Oh and I loved Speed Racer as a kid still do, haven't seen the live action film yet.

Oh me too, I watched it when I was very young, I suspect it was part of what made me a car nut :D Looking back, I kind of chuckle at how violent it was, people constantly dying in flaming car crashes!

The more modern Adventures of Speed Racer anime is pretty good, the movie, well, I get what they were trying to do in terms of look and feel, but it's a raging mess. I'd like to see a totally realistic take, by that I mean, all the crazy car capabilities are there, fights are insane wire-fu, but the surface aesthetic is completely real (think The Matrix vs. Sin City [or more to the point, what the decided to do]).
