Other cat found out already and made a very cozy place to sleep behind some books on the bookshelf. One book must've felt behind the row of books on the bookshelf and guess what she thought? "Let's prepare a nice bed!" Ten stars for creativity.

It's always charming - and I must admit, somewhat relaxing - to see them sharpening their claws. Of course I gave up in having any intact piece of furniture. I assume that I'd do the same if I were a cat.

Interactions between cats are also interesting. Just yesterday one of my cats (I have 4) walked in front of my youngest cat and he hissed at him in the meanest way. Two seconds (literally, two seconds) later they were licking each other, hugged. Go figure.
That is well - congrats? We had a dog (German Shepherd) and two cats (mixed persian-himalayan and a stray) growing up. The dog stayed in the backyard and our cats took pains to avoid him. My sis and I found the stray as a kitten outside and our other cat (really my sister's princess) didn't take to him at first. She tore the living room curtains and pooped behind the chesterfield. They eventually tolerated each other. :D

🤣

That sounds like a (winnie the) Pooh(p) moment.:p

At least, the boss got a good laugh out of it.

What's on my mind? Hitting the Nike store on Tuesday in between jobs to try and get snow boots and a pair of sneakers on sale. Maybe a jacket too...

and hoping tonight's rain holds out until I get home...
Insert sad trombone??

I keep seeing this ad for interlocking rubber floor mats, and it makes me wish my favorite gum were back in style.

Bit worried... I just got called up for Jury Duty. I just hope the courts are keen on permanent exceptions.

Thinking about elsest sis, she's heading into major back surgery shortly. Seeing her as a candidate for the easier procedure (faster healing).

And other older sis too. Hope all is okay with her as well.

❤❤❤ them both.

Best of luck to both of your sisters, but, above all, to both you and your mother.

I wonder why it's so difficult for doctors to communicate and transmit material to each other, and why they tell me at the last minute that I am the one that has to go to one doctor, get the folder, then hand deliver it to the other doctor.

Departmental turf wars?

Personal conflicts?

Perhaps inundated and overwhelmed with work and unable to find the time to prepare - or locate the necessary paperwork - in advance of a meeting with you?

Perhaps, the secretaries are over-burdened as well - in my experience, secretaries are almost always over-worked (and often under-appreciated).

Simple snobbery - let the little person (the patient) fetch the paperwork........

No idea what, but if I gotta pay $500 I expect that at least the two of them can send each other an email.

Would I, would you, would we….. stop believing in God the day that ultra-advanced god-like Extraterrestrials publicly present themselves to Humankind?

And how come I never died of dysentery. I played Oregon Trail countless times in my younger years!

No, in my experience, senior medical specialists (consultants), may take a very different view, seeing themselves as impossibly elevated from normal human or mortal concerns.

During my mother's long decline, we had dealings with exemplary sepcialsist/consultants who were professional, kind, competent and respectful.

And we had dealings (for sums of money akin to what you paid) with individuals (specialists/consultants) whose arrogance, bloated self-regard, greed, and dismissive attitude had to be experienced to be believed.

It truly frustrates me.

I don't even expect kindness, just professionalism.

Catholics don't exclude the presence of ET, so in general I'd say no.

Maybe... you died and don't know it?

I'm European.

We - or, some of us - have long doubted the existence of divinities, irrespective of whether God-Like Extraterrestrials had paid us a visit or not.

Some of us also have harboured grave doubts about the existence of The Tooth Fairy, and The Stork (Father Christmas is a whole different ball game of belief, or willing suspension of disbelief).
