I have no idea what TINSSAFS means.
Nor do I, and that goes for my take on that whole post. ?! Sometimes maybe ignorance really is bliss.
^^ Thanks @Zenithal for decoding the probably intended acronym. I'm sure you're right (and so is the acronym).
Yah, so called social media is ill named w/ respect to at least political discourse, don't you think? The rest of it, the recipes and chatty grandkids pics parts and so forth are one thing but so much of "social" media touching on news and politics lies in the unkind to off-wall range.
But then there are lots of wonderful blogs and educational sites and recipe... and... and... and...
Just the fact that one doesn't have to put on boots and slog over to the library for casual research on something of interest is a blessing. I do read more tweeted comments during particularly "interesting times" regarding news of the Beltway.. but right after reading some rude exchange I do then try to remember that there are those other things I actually like about the internet and even "social" media.
Thanks for the translation. As the pallet space is at work I’m pretty sure it’s free.
As for social media, I’ve never seen the appeal. This is pretty much the only online site I’ve joined.

I have the growing thought life is not lucky. We are not lucky the universal laws are as they are, or the earth’s orbit is in this habitual zone, or that Jupiter is where it is drawing objects away from crashing into earth. We exist because of those things.
Hope they go well.I only use Twitter as it was required for school and my Shaw Brothers writing contributions.
Speaking of Shaws, narrowed down the name for my incoming MBP to either Hei Mo Le or Zhao Wuji. I love both characters (Hei Mo Le is one of David Chiang's most fun wuxia rascals, and Zhao Wuji is among Ti Lung's coolest brooding swordsmen), so I am not sure what to name it. MBP will arrive either this Tuesday or Wednesday. Early! 🥳
And I told work I will make up time for Tues & Wed if I have to take both days. I intend to offer working extra hours next week due to the holidays anyway.
I think of this now instead of my faux pas in telling negative eldest sis the date of mom's hip surgery.Mom has to have the hip and knee done separately. I am grateful she has a great surgeon, he'll perform both surgeries.
They will. Thank you.Hope they go well.
Thanks. Had to stop for the day. Too much emotion stuff for Mrs AFB to deal with. They will. Thank you.
I wish the same for your house move (and the packing).
I hope you are both are okay.Thanks. Had to stop for the day. Too much emotion stuff for Mrs AFB to deal with.
Not today really. Time of year and all that.I hope you are both are okay.

It’s been nearly four years for us since our lives changed forever.Best of luck with both surgeries for your mother, (and for the stress for you) and do enjoy your new computer when you manage to take delivery of it.
Good luck with it all.
This time last year, my Sundays tended to be about Minding Mother, playing ABBA non-stop for her, and ensuring that she was in good form and happy until the carer returned.
How things can change over the course of a year.
Roll on February that’s what I say.Sorry. 🤗

In some ways it gets easier. In others (like birthdays etc) it doesn’t.

Moving back to Japan someday.

Thank you. We try. But some days are just harder than others. Today was certainly one of those. Packing away some of our daughters old things hasn’t really helped. But hopefully the move will (eventually) be a positive thing. Right now it’s just a source of extra stress we could both do without.I can't imagine - I mean, a parent (certainly a grandparent), that's the circle of life, it happens, you move on (I would hope they'd want you to), but your situation is certainly different. I find your general positivity absolutely amazing - I really do hope you're able to find moments of joy![]()
Moving back to Japan someday.
Japan is a country I would very much like to visit at some stage.
Same here, particularly in the spring to see the apple & cherry blossoms.
Having lived in the Land of the Rising Sun for a year was wonderful. Although I didn't get the full immersion of the Japanese culture since I was on active duty in the US Marines during that time. But, the people, the culture and the landscape were and are quite splendid. The architecture (the older to ancient stuff, that is) of the Far East is, to me, some of the most beautiful in the world.
Architectural design in the United States is so boring, so dull and so perpendicular. There are so little art and passion in the buildings in this country and when I look at the Far East, there is so much to see, study and admire everywhere you look.
