A new year. I'm not entirely sure if I should be typing this or letting it slip in silently....

Happy New Year y'all...
Hope they make a speedy recovery.Great start to the new year. Both my Mum and Dad have COVID. Dad been rough for a few days but better today. Mum has only a slight headache. Dad is 79, Mum 81.
So far I’ve tested negative despite being with them every day through Christmas. Thank God we are all fully vaccinated.

Second shot was atrocious.
Third shot was painful.
Where about you at here in Switzerland? Yea, not great ski weather (I don't ski, well I have done x-country and do like snowshoeing or just hiking) this year.Asking myself whether it would be worth it to buy a new suite of skiing gear with us getting 5-10 c° in January (Switzerland), or if i'd be better off saving up for a sailboat (or at the very least the docking rights ?).
I'm around the riviera, mostly sad that we won't have white winters in the plains anymore, in the mood for some ski-touring if tomorrow's snowfall are kind to us.Where about you at here in Switzerland? Thanks. Thankfully they both seem to have normal cold like symptoms. In good spirits and hopefully make a full recovery soon.Good grief.
Hope they make a speedy recovery and the very best of luck to you all.
I don’t do any skiing anymore. Used to a lot more in youth. Both some downhill and cross-country skiing. I find it more interesting to run in the snow these days at times. Some winters are more snow filled than other’s though. But my greatest sport inspiration ever, is the most outstanding cross-country skier Marit Bjørgen.Yea, not great ski weather (I don't ski, well I have done x-country and do like snowshoeing or just hiking) this year.
Glad to hear it! @Lioness~ I have looked up Marit Bjørgen as I don't follow skiing that closely - my favourite winter sports being hockey (born in Canada eh) and figure skating - and am very imprsssed by this woman's record. I am also very glad to see she has returned to competition at 41 in a world where athletes have shorter and shorter "expiry" dates.Thanks. Thankfully they both seem to have normal cold like symptoms. In good spirits and hopefully make a full recovery soon.
Because most don’t know how to be a good manager! Trust me I know some shocking ones. I try to be the sort of manager I would want. But I’ve been going it nearly all my working life. Many end up managing people with no training or even interest in it. They just want the extra pay they get for it.What's on my mind? I will tell you - Wondering why Managers/Leaders, do not lead their employees accordingly. If your employee is performing poorly, address it, and help them progress to being a better employee. Failing that, simply dismiss them and find a better/another candidate.
Simple remedy on that. If people are not grateful for your services, give them out only where they are instead. The world and the net are a big place. Don’t compromise your integrity. You help randoms online, with IT issues, and they don't even say thanks. That's what's on my mind...
In my line of work I've found that some mangers are awful. Clueless. They just knew what to say when interviewed. I know some "acting up" managers who are superb but just cannot get past the interview stage. Higher management would rather promote people who "tick all the boxes" rather than how they perform.Because most don’t know how to be a good manager! Trust me I know some shocking ones. I love shopping for new bras. The problem is I can never find one to perfectly match my beard and moustache......That I am pleased with my new bought bra’s
Shopping bra’s, can be a mess, especially when the old ones have lasted a while, and shopping online. Sizes can differ widely. But I've ended up with 6 new ones that I am satisfied with. 4 is totally awesome. With not so much hassle that I had expected. The majority of them, are sport bras.
But I am really surprised that a big company such as Nike had such awful website/shopping site at 2018 and lack of technological knowledge/support. Have had a lot of Nike sportswear, this time I bought zero from them.
