I'm looking forward to watching the Skate Bording at the Olympics, and watching Sky for Team GB, she was fantastic last time and the companionship between the competitors was just brilliant to see. And I may watch the new 'Break Dancing' event!

There is far more truth to this than you might imagine.
Rabbits, introduced to Australia, have caused immense damage to the environment and wildlife. So much so that we have introduced bounties on rabbits, as well as two different viral diseases that are specific to rabbits.

We actually do not have a washer and dryer at the moment (remodeling two rooms in the house and replacing several appliances, including the laundry machines), so have to take my clothes to the laundromat tomorrow. A little annoying, but I'll live...
Actually, the huge pile of rubble from the demolished walls, etc. is still sitting in our back yard. Have no idea what my folks plan to do with it. Our house is a literal mess, but that's okay. At this rate, since we're doing it all ourselves (without hiring any sort of contractor or construction crew to do it for us), who knows how long it'll take to finish. Since I'll be going back up to college in the fall, there'll be one fewer person available to help. I bet it'll be done by next summer.
So while it's slightly annoying having a torn-apart house (in a few places, at least) and a slow-going remodeling process, it'll be awesome when it's all done!

Was feeling a bit indifferent about starting a new week. Same nonsense at work with no real progress towards accomplishing any goals because of incompetent leadership. Ya know...just running on the wheel.

Now after reading that article and practicing my mindful breathing, I'm feeling calmer and more centered. The key (for me) is to remind myself to go back to my breathing whenever I need to recenter my mind. No past. No future. Just here and now.

Lisbon is pretty great! Wish I could have spent more time when I was there. I was also pretty young, so it'd be great to go again now that I'm older.

I was just in Lisbon (and Sintra) last week! A beautiful area of the world. I love Portugal. Can't wait to visit the Algarve region again as well.
